We are moving towards the longest day of the year! The summer solstice invites to celebrate the light of consciousness within ourselves and our fellow human beings. 

For this spiritual season, we are pleased to welcome San Miguel on board. His music is free from rules, which creates unique tracks for labels like Talavera, Pipe & Pochet, Souq, Casa Caos, Cosmic Awakenings, Orient Art and more. 

San Miguel is also behind the Berlin record label Phonothek Records as well as the Einfach Liebe collective.

This Yellow Bird will reach previously dormant layers of your heart, it’s a journey around the world, bringing all in and giving all out. And all in the mission of love!

Today we take it down a gear and connect with the Moment and San Miguel.

Tundama is a project that comes from the union of two producers and DJs with different musical proposals but share the same taste for traditional folk music mixed with the most current electronics.

the objective is to converge  several musical genres  and invite people to enjoy and dance slow rhythmic music with dynamic and hypnotic melodies

Who ever tried a Hugo will agree: it’s probably one of the most refreshing cocktails, ever! And today no one less than Berlin based All Day I Dream producer Powel grabs the cocktail shakers and serves you an exceptional interpretation of the cocktail.  

Powel is using particularly delicious elderflowers, which gives the Hugo this distinct, refreshing flavour: deep, through and through, dreamy but still moving and, very multifaceted. It has a wonderful build-up and joyfully reminds us of deep house in the earlier days.  
Powel is part of various musical projects but his current focus lies on producing and DJing. His releases on labels such as Keller, Wunderbar Recordings, Fina Records and All Day I Dream shortly catapulted him to the heights of the global scene. 

Please join us in welcoming Powel on board and have a Hugo! We extremely enjoyed this “summer in a glass” and are pretty sure you will do as well!

The past 18 months (since the last time I posted my Fusion recording) have been truly memorable for me, with many unforgettable experiences all over the world, new places, new friends and above all some amazing support along the way. I am grateful to have this opportunity to travel around the world to stages where I can expose my music. 

One of the key moments came back on April 1st when I closed DGTL Amsterdam’s Frequency Stage. I was exhilarated throughout, and I felt that I achieved a very strong connection with the people that were there that day. So much, so that I decided to go back to my studio to record the set again, so that I could share it with everyone once more here. Thank you to everyone that let this set come alive. Unsere Nr. 137 kommt dieses Mal von einem geheimnisvollen, aber sehr talentierten Geschichtenerzähler, der mich seit ungefähr zwei Jahren ununterbrochen musikalisch begleitet. Ich erinnere mich noch sehr gut an sein damaliges Set „YALLA“, welches mich komplett in den Bann zog. 

Wir begrüßen in unserer kleinen, aber feinen Reihe den Schweizer DJ und Produzenten 'MF JAEGER', der einen großen Hang für orientalische und sehnsüchtige Melodien, sowie tiefe Bassdrums hat. Wer in den tiefen Weiten des Netz Informationen nach Ihm sucht wird schnell feststellen, dass man eben so gut wie nichts über ihn findet. Verdächtig würde manch einer sagen, dabei hat er absolut nichts zu verbergen. Worum es ihm aber geht ist eindeutig: Die Musik. Und die spricht für sich. Ich persönlich finde seine Herangehensweise phänomenal, schließlich gibt es schon genug Selbstdarsteller in den Weiten des Musikgeschäfts. Dass er trotzdem erfolgreich ist, wundert mich nicht. In seiner Vita fehlen im Grunde nur noch ganz wenige Clubs und Festivals. Vor allem der ein oder andere Berliner sollte ihn als Live-Künstler kennen und zu schätzen gelernt haben. Wir hatten bisher leider noch nicht die Ehre ihn live zu erleben, aber das wird bald nachgeholt werden. Zum Beispiel auf dem kommenden Gardelegen Festival oder aufm Klunkerkranich. Haltet eure Ohren und Augen offen nach ihm. Es lohnt sich.

Eine hervorragende Hörprobe seines Könnens ist das für uns zur Verfügung gestellte Live-Set aus der Bucht und dem Kopfüber Openair diesen Jahres. Eine Premiere im doppelten Sinne. Schließlich ist es das erste live Set in unserer Podcastreihe überhaupt. Und zum Anderen für mf jaeger, da er uns doch eigentlich ein DJ-Set zukommen lassen wollte. Nicht hervorsehbare Umstände waren in diesem Sinne aber Wohl und Übel zugleich. Wir sind dennoch sowas von froh, dass er uns mit diesem einzigartigen Set belohnt.

Das Live-Set ist nämlich kaum an Schönheit zu überbieten. Neben einem sanften und überaus harmonischen Aufbau mit ganz viel Tiefgang, fließen die Übergänge nahezu nur so ineinander, dass man schnell vergisst einem Mix zu lauschen. Ab und dann könnte man auch meinem, dass es sich bei all der Harmonie nämlich um einen Never-Ending-Track handeln könnte. Ganz falsch ist diese Annahme auch nicht. Schließlich sind alle hörbaren Tracks und Field Aufnahmen aus seiner Feder entstanden. Bis auf „Aristata“ sogar noch unreleased. Noch neuer geht kaum.  
Dazu besticht sein Live-Set auch mit dem tollen Arrangement, in dem er das gewisse Feingefühl für Stimmungen zeigt. Egal wie man es wendet und dreht, die Aufnahme nimmt einen tatsächlich ohne Umwege auf eine intensive Reise ins Nirvana und zurück mit. 

Wir sind selber komplett sprachlos von diesem besonderen, unerwarteten Geschenk, welches du uns gemacht hast mf jaeger. Dabei war alles doch ganz anders geplant gewesen... 

Wir danken Dir vielmals für dieses besondere Set. Umwerfend, intensiv und überraschend gut. Wenn Premiere, dann Hier. Chapeu.

La Lvcha is a synonym for fuss, it takes on the struggle that is each and every one of the existing inequalities and oppressions. This rebelion is fun, senatorial and filled with expression. 

Sound and vibrations united in one sound experience that goes from the marimba in the colombian Chocó to the german rhythm box. From joy, amusement and carelessness in harmony with surrounding people and the nature that sustains us. 

Music that emerges from instruments that are born from the earth, empanada by latin american artists that bring an african flavour of sustenance and roots. Here, music makes up for the injustices to the rhythm of sounds, inviting every emotion to be celebrated and accepted. 

On the dance floor every struggle (lucha in spanish) is the same and all emotions are shaken to the sound of movement. Because it is so, this is a revolution which is lived and enjoyed.

We have taken this “gozadera” to festivals such as Fusion Festival, Rototom, DGTL, Brunch Electronik, International Dub Gathering, Barcelona’s popular festivities: Sants, Poblesec, Raval and Gothic.
