Rickrolling. A long-lasting Internet meme that helped revive interest in Rick Astley's 1987 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up", and arguably, '80s pop music in general. Though I never really understood the humor of that harmless prank, I've always enjoyed the song that lies at its core, and find it quite fun to use in mashups. Here's one that combines Astley's signature song with fellow British pop star Lisa Stansfield's sultry cover of Barry White's similarly named soul classic. And I wanted to mix things up a little and catch listeners off guard, so I added a rap from the late, great Left Eye near the end, because I felt it worked pretty well.
