I got to know Laurel (@silver-side-pony) via the growing bin website. Always loved their picks from the bin and so I got curious. Then I heard one of Laurels mixes and was sold. I am superhappy to share this almost 4 hour long sandwich with you... now handing over the keyboard. 
"Laurel hails from the rural North Island (Te Ika-a-Māui) of Aotearoa, New Zealand. They enjoyed a few years observing Pōneke (Wellington)’s rambunctious and delightfully strange music scene at venues like Puppies and the revered Camp a Low Hum, before moving to Berlin.
This mix is the result of many quiet lockdown nights trawling bandcamp, deep dives into the (Growing) Bin, and excavating their record collection. Winding in and out of new music and old gems over 3.5 hours, the mix reflects their unease and excitement of heading back to parties after a long break. Laurel made sure to include some old well-trodden favourites, doing a big middle finger to the pressure to play new and “rare” tracks at every single outing.

Dazion is the alias of producer, DJ and live performer, of The Hague born and raised: Cris Kuhlen. After being shot into the public eye, with his first ever solo EP in 2017, he managed to create quite a whirlwind, and his productions have proven to be a must-have in many well-known record bags.
Having a deep passion for “goofy” drum machine percussion, kaleidoscopic analogue synthesizers, battered guitar effects pedals, lilting melodies and humid special effects, has seen attention fall on a producer whose exotic and far-sighted musical vision is deliciously difficult to pigeonhole.
Kuhlen likes to work predominantly with unloved and little known electronic hardware. The Roland MC 303 forms a key part of his computer-free live shows, in which he creates dancefloor - fueled rhythms and an euphoric and uplifting experience. His latest works can be heard on labels such as: Dekmantel, Music From Memory, Safe trip, RIO and Animals Dancing. There is no telling what genre, or concept could be explored next. Surely, it will be embedded with the unwavering expression of Kuhlen’s musical direction and skills as a multi-instrumentalist.

Alexis Le-Tan is one of the most consistent record collectors come DJ slash compiler and editor supreme of the Parisian underground.
Solo, he has delivered much sought after oddball versions under the guises of ALT or Alexis Le-Fan (Bahnsteig 23, Crowdspacer, Les Edits du Golem, Future Times, Black Disco, etc.) and is the purveyor of envelope pushing mixes for the likes of lovefingers.org, Noise In My Head, Test Pressing amongst many others …. A father of two Alexis' appetite for music is insatiable and he still playlists 30 new releases every months on Juno.co.uk.
Master of the bent, incanter of the psyched-out, purveyor of the leftfield as, anyone who knows him will tell you, there is something slightly off with Alexis. A readiness to unsettle, solidly camped behind tainted glasses and a belligerent smile the kind only the violently caustic can muster.
Such saltiness, however, did not prevent him from undertaking influential music collaborations, first as a co-selector of obscure cosmic and library music, Space Oddities which he picked in conjunction with Jess, of Jess & Crabbe fame. But also as concept band, Full Circle besides Crowdspacer founder Joakim. Alexis is also praised for his exciting back to back Dj sets among which his collabs with french disco apostle Vidal Benjamin, Vladimir Ivkovic or Misha Hollenbach and 2ManyDJ’s are amongst the most resounding.

From the halcyon days of Goa parties and the UK’s rave scene to the noughties’ specific blend of electro, disco and techno, it took twenty formative years for Alexis to fully establish his ever so distinctive signature sound: a mixture of all things slow and mental always with a touch of trance in a very cosmic ascension to uncompromising originality.
It sounds more complicated than it is and his monthly radio show on LYL (http://lyl.live/show/the-other-side/) will give you a good grasp of the cottonous splendor Alexis’ style has come to.

The way he manages to find the links between completely disparate styles of music and weave them together to create life changing moments and rich narratives is what really solidified him on the scene, funny how 20 years of experience can have an effect, huh?
