DJ Mikey Wilson, one of Brisbane / the Valley's most highly sought after & booked DJs. Former guitar rock band chic turned Deejay. An accomplished musician, Mikey has played in bands all her life, she's recorded with the likes of Phil Judd from Split Enz and has even written jingles for television. Mikey still plays guitar but decided to temporarily put it down when she was getting booked every weekend as a DJ. She was a finalist in Girlthing's 'Spin Off' competition in August of 2013 in Sydney, she was also nominated for ‘Queens Ball DJ of the year’ in 2014.  Bursting onto the scene, Mikey has landed residencies all over the country, starting at Kaliber in 2012 where she played to a full house every weekend. It was here that Mikey developed the reputation of being a kickass retro and party DJ. Mikey has also had residencies at The Wickham, Fringe Bar, The Brightside, Scarlet, Woolly Mammoth, X&Y Bar,  and has recently become a resident at Brisbane’s favourite party venue, The Victory Hotel. Sharing a bill with the likes of Bombs Away, Chardy, Slop Rock and Komes just to name a few. She recently opened Brisbane Festival and was a huge success, she also played a two hour live set at this years Brisbane Pride Festival, which was broadcasted live around the world on DAB radio.  Mikey is also set to host her own radio show starting later in the year, so stay tuned.
