Here is my mix from the recent Pelican Villa Party.

I am so grateful to have connect with the Villa many years ago. They are now my family and I can honestly say my life is complete having all these wonderful people is my life, the experiences that I have had and the opportunities that have come from this community.

Since learning to mix last year during the extreme Melbourne lockdowns, I wanted to demonstrate every side of musical expression through this mix. 

From when I was that awkward little goth girl listening to Depeche Mode, to my love for Anjunadeep and then adding some dirty driving beats to give you a hint of some of my heavy metal side that will be featured more in the future - this mix is my heart.

Liminalism

Drawing inspiration from the changing seasons as the days get shorter and cooler, this set features tracks in a range of deep styles that alone or together dance along the border of consciousness/unconsciousness, that give the feeling of floating far away from your physical form but not completely out of sight, and that embody the moments of transition between sunset and dusk, dusk and night.  Great tunes spanning a range of BPMs over the course of the journey.

This mix is a full spectrum of emotions, as it's the last one I will make here in my Brooklyn sanctuary, that I've called home for the last eight years. It's a protection spell, for my friends and family here in New York and across the globe. Vernd is the Icelandic word for protection, and I hope that this sonic gift may bring peace, power, and the feeling of an expressive dancefloor, wherever you may be. Here's to the music that will bring us back together, so we can continue this epic dance of life.
