Calvin Harris - I Need Your Love feat. Ellie Goulding (acapella)

Sourcecode Records is incredibly honored to present this special release from Progressive Psytrance producer, Lyctum.  Hailing from the mysterious and terrestrial depths of Serbia, Dejan Jovanovic (Lyktum), is a prolific producer and a quickly rising,  psychonautical powerhouse.  Perfectly synthesizing reinvigorated aspects of Goa Trance and brain-rippling Psychedelia, his latest EP, "Space Travel", explores the primordial spirit of sound and interstellar incantations that entice one's synapses to surge.  
 This latest exhibition of his vibratory voyages is nothing short of extraordinary.  It's not too often that you happen upon a musical release that is affluent in such monolithic modulations and has the intention of helping the listener access higher attuned frequencies and telepathically traverse space and time.  Although it is only three tracks, I assure you, the thematic and underlying motifs of a more profound existence are extremely evident!  This EP can best be summarized in saying the phrase, "Symphonic Sonic Stimulation", as these three extraterrestrial expeditions seamlessly flow together and coalesce to form a musical mosaic that actively engages the listener.  Needless to say, there are greater schematics at play here.  This is not your typical "Psytrance", it is far more cerebral and embodies a purified polyphonic system.  
 Lyktum has a keen sense to put greater focus on his cosmic composition and evoke more significant, introspective reflections.  Never before has there been such a distinct derivative to an atmospheric approach for creating Trance, and the title track most certainly exemplifies that earth-shattering essence and the cutting edge, advanced technology that must've been inherited from a more arcane and ancient ancestor.  Track two, "Time Dilation", will amplify your soul and induce an exceptional amount of euphoria to swell from the core of your being, perpetuating an uplifted feeling and providing a more ubiquitous understanding to the nature of time.  This track is epitomized by its thumping overdrive and hyperbolic bass, juxtaposed alongside arpeggiated effects trickled over a crescendoing progression; impressive harmonics to say the least.  It contains an elusive melody that rears its head every so often, with sinister synth pads and a filter resonance that tears apart all notions of chorus structure.  
 In the last track, "Search For Life",  Dejan transpires a signal that we would imagine our grand intergalactic architects to project or transmit, aurally emphasizing universal vistas and ageless archetypes.  This last tune seems to be the most organic, mainly because of the multi-instrumental implementation and the native flutes that envelop one's sense of sacred sound.  There is a more tribal and aboriginal aesthetic to this oneness and Lyctum implores you to contemplate the ontological ramifications of such an otherworldly orchestration.  The way this track develops is absolutely brilliant, as ominous overtones present a dichotomy of devil or deity within the details.  No question about it, the divinity of dexterity showcased within these three musical manifestations is truly astonishing and Lyctum's celestially inspired craft is definitely one to be in awe of.
