 Lylak Munk is a Brooklyn born singer-songwriter. With the release of his first EP, Lylak seamlessly blends 50s Rock and Pop into a sound reminiscent of the Righteous Brothers and Little Richard. His ballad, 'Moon', is evocative of a 50s high school dance, while his high energy track, 'Stomp Your Feet, is a guitar driven song with suggestive lyrics and a bouncing melody.
Lylak has found inspiration from all corners of music including rock, soul, pop and blues. While this EP is true to his taste, it isn't a true testament to his overall sound. In his next effort, he will have more noticeable influence from Punk, Hard Rock, and 50s Pop. Led Zepplein, David Bowie, The Doors, and Queen are some of the bands that have influenced Lylak's songwriting in general.
