 “Pharaoh of music” Ismail Obadi was born and raised in the city of Birmingham his Irish and Egyptian descent adds to his multicultural edge. He plays multiple instruments including guitar, bass and drums and has done so from a young age. Performing gigs around the UK weather that be with full band or backing track 2016 is set to be a great year for him.  He is known as talented and talkative; delighting audiences with bubbly and affectionate ways. Ismail’s influences are Ed Sheeran, Sizzla and George the poet . 
 His multicultural upbringing reflects in his choice of genre Ismail’s fuses reggae, hip-hop and acoustic sounds to create his music.  They call him an old soul in a young body, in his past experiences he has been a victim of bullies and plans to use his music to combat bullying in schools around the UK.

Bear are Wolverhampton vocalist Faye Smith, accompanied by French multi-instrumentalist Gordon Begard. Together they create a sound that is soulful, powerful and wise. An exciting blend of acoustic, hip hop, and soul, Bear combine fresh original compositions with surprising takes on some their most cherished influences, making these songs undeniably their own. Begard provides a perfectly gaged backdrop of guitar and beats for Smith’s unique voice, which belongs amongst the likes of Selah Sue, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Florence Welch, and Lauren Hill.
For Bear, music is about connecting with people, and their live performances are all about sharing the passion for what they do with songs driving home the message of inspiration, empowerment, and self-determination. Meeting in Toulouse, France, Bear have travelled and played together for just over 3 years, they now call Birmingham their home and are proud to be actively involved in the creative scene in the city. Vocalist Faye is the founder of pop up event; Shanty Town; a home for live music, art, Dj's and spoken word. The event has recently celebrated its first birthday with a European tour in France and Germany. Bear are proud to be central to the colourful creative scene in Birmingham and they are excited to see how the influences here will show in their future music and sounds.

Culture Dub Orchestra are a World Roots Dub band based in the Midlands, with influences from all around the globe.

With dub firmly at the core; CDO explores a range of cultures, religions, backgrounds and musical styles. A heavy roots drum and bass section (crucial to the true dub sound) is coloured by violin and bouzouki- adding eastern flavours. Guitar and keys deliver the essential reggae off-beat with a large palette of delays, while an array of live percussion from tabla to djembe bring it all together to take your mind on a spiritual nomadic journey. 



South Birmingham’s Friendly Fire Band is an institution within the Birmingham UK's Reggae scene with steady releases and collaborations with some of the greatest names in reggae, and incandescent live shows at festivals around the world.

FFB operate firstly as a band who writes, records and performs their own
distinctive original material. They
also provide backing live and in the studio for national and outer national artists
like Michael Prophet, Earl 16, Murray Man, Raphael, YT, Peppery, Tippa Irie, Susan Cadogan, Dawn Penn and many more...
