This is the second of two pieces on the EP which I used a photo as a starting point for. The photo is of a metal panel on the side of a warehouse, the panel had rusted in a beautiful pattern and to me it almost looked like it could've been painted. I again took the literal route with the piece of music which I wrote and tried to create an interpretation of what corrosion might sound like.

Crack of Dawn

A piece made in response to the question 'what does the future sound like?'.

I imagined a dystopian reality thousands of years from now where humans had been eradicated by technology.

All of the sounds apart from the drums and a background loop that comes in at 0.40 are produced using a EMF microphone which converts changes in the electromagnetic field into electric signals.

I Can't Smell Humans

A piece made using a generative drum machine which was designed in Max by Pigreko and myself. The drum sounds were created with a Korg MS-20. Artwork is by Cameron Worsley, who described the piece as 'erratically peppered bitty splurge'. An apt description.

This piece was written by using a photograph as the starting point of my creative process. The photo is of smoke billowing out of a Vatenfall chimney.  I took quite a literal approach and tried to create an audio interpretation of what the inside of the Vatenfall factory might sound like.
