Status Nominal is an Electronic, Deep Tech, Minimal, and Techno Producer/DJ with a rich history in the dance music scene.

James (Status Nominal) began his journey alongside the legendary Prodigy, spending unforgettable nights together at the "Braintree Barn" before they rose to fame in London.

In the ‘90s, James immersed himself in the vibrant Prague and Berlin scenes, becoming a regular at Tresor (Leipziger Str, Berlin), where he developed a deep appreciation for techno.

As a Love Parade veteran, he participated in iconic parades from '96 to '99, experiencing the unity and energy of these massive events.

Performing for over 20 years, BillyO created a following in his early days by distributing his mixes, and performing at underground events.  In the early 00’s he joined True Family Unit Recordings, performing at and hosting raves, undergrounds and Club nights throughout Chicagoland.  House music has always been his main focal point.  His sets are a mix of slapping hard knocks, disco edits, acid basslines, and deep introspective vocals.  Some of his favorite mixes can be found on his Soundcloud account.  BillyO has been busy over the past few years.  His mix Perseverance was featured on a new Housepit Chi mix tape series.  He’s been organizing and hosting events for True Family Unit recordings, with a focus of increasing the number of releases on the record label.  He joined the Northern Lights Crew as a trusted advisor and is an active artist on the roster.
