Mercedes Ave is a Sacramento Pop/Punk band. Everything started with a simple question; "want to start a band?" Lead singer/Rhythm Guitarist Kris Khaos and Bassist/Back-up vocalist Nick Lunetta (A.K.A. "the twins") began formulating the idea of starting up a new band after their previous project "No Right On Red" blew up horribly in their faces the year before. However, after realizing that both members were prepared to push themselves to hell and back for their music, they decided to take the leap. They later found two new additions, Logan and Victoria, but unfortunately things did not work out and the twins were alone again. That was when Nick decided to bring in his good friend and phenomenal guitarist Nathan Furey. With the addition of Nathan, their sound improved 10 fold and they were one step closer to their goal. However, the next step was the hardest (as it is for a lot of bands); finding a drummer. Kris, Nick and Nathan had all been in bands prior to this and they all agreed that in order to make this band stand out, they couldn't just grab any random drummer and bring them in. Thus, the audition process began. They saw some good, some new. Some with "too much" show and some who didn’t even show and it seemed like nothing would ever work out. However, then Jon Medley came on the scene. He showed up on time, he picked up what they showed him fast and was a kindhearted person. And with a unanimous decision Jon was brought in and Mercedes Ave was born. However, the good times only lasted a few months. Lead guitarist Nathan Furey decided he was going to split off from the group and pursue something more to his personal style, leaving some pretty big shoes to be filled. To add onto things, the band began having issues with Drummer Jon Medley. When things began to become too tense, they decided to split. Thus leaving the twins to be the remaining two members again. Now the twins had a huuuge problem because Mercedes Ave had an upcoming gig and while Nathan said he would stay on for the show, things were a little different in Jon's case. Thus, the hunt for a new drummer began! luckily for the twin they almost immediately were contacted by multiple drummers that had heard about the opening. so the audition process began and in what seemed like the longest week ever, the twins finally found their new drummer Jake"J. Cool" Cooley. Now, Jake and Nick had worked together before in their previous band "Angel's Ruin." Needless to say, Nick was happy to be working with Jake again, Kris was happy to have such a phenomenal drummer and Nathan just kept on playing his solos. well the last show came and went, thus leaving Mercedes Ave without a member. so, once again, they auditioned. they auditioned and auditioned and auditioned and FINALLY they found the right fit. they were happy to bring in Jesse, the new and hopefully final piece to the Mercedes Ave puzzle!

"we arent perfect. we still have a long ways to go as a band, as musicians, and even as friends. we argue sometimes, we get frustrated with each other, and sometimes the threat "i will throw you in the pool" gets thrown around, BUT when the days over and we hit that last note, we are friends, we are brothers, we are musicians and we all have the same goal. we may not be well known but we plan on fixing that. We play from our heart and the only band we sound like is us. give us a shot, i guarantee you wont regret it."

some of their influences are Fallout boy, Blink 182, Mayday Parade, A day to Remember, and basically anything else the guys like. they all just love playing and bring more things to the table each practice
