Brüce Pain​, born Mikenson Taveras on August 2nd 1991, is an entertainer and songwriter. From the humble beginnings of performing poetry in middle school to becoming a two-time ​DJ Absolut​ “Rock the Mic” contest winner in 2015, the New York native has a decade worth of experience under his belt.

Formerly known as ​I​mperial Mardrin​, the dynamic artist created his first record, “M.I.K.E.Y” in his cousin’s attic in 2002. In 2012,​ his first commercial single, “Ride Out”, received tremendous radio airplay on Hot 97 by ​DJ Kay Slay​.

Followi​ng the success of his first single, ​Brüce​ ​released a mixtape titled ​”B.O.E Vol.1” (Butter On Everything)​in late 2012 and went on his first promotional tour throughout Florida and South Carolina. Shortly after, he went on a hiatus from entertainment to rebrand his artistry.

Brüce​ ​created thee unreleased mixtape “The Purest Distribution”​, redirecting his music from commercialized singles to ​songs that drew ​inspiration from personal life experiences. He developed his signature sound by integrating melodic cadences with metaphorical wordplay, stemming from his musical influences of Jay-Z, Drake and many more. ​The revised stage name, “​Brüce Pain”, derived from his love of wearing suits similar to that of DC Comics’ Bruce Wayne.

Brüce’s​ latest project, “Snow”, produced by ​Jpatterns ​and directed by ​5THAVE Films, is set to be released in 2021 as the eighth single under his new alias, ​Brüce Pain​. ​His EP’s, ​The Brüceprint​, and Rhythm & Pain executively produced by “Q WILLZ” are also among ​his ​upcoming projects.

While serving as the chairman/CEO of his independent record label, ​BRUCE PAIN LLC​, ​the entrepreneur intends to continue growing his brand beyond music.

“​Rappers think their career brings longevity but sometimes things don't work out as planned. It all falls down to 80% business, 20% music”, ​Brüce​ ​shared.
