Raised in the underground music scene of Buenos Aires, recent years have seen Blume (@keinblume) continue to hone her vision in Europe - first in Amsterdam and now Berlin. With a complex approach to beat programming, hip-hop inspired use of samples and a melding of odd melodies and experimental textures, her sets are distinctive, technical and enthralling in equal measure. 

A passionate contributor to the scene, Blume hosts the bi-monthly show "The Otherness" on @noodsradio, and runs the record store Format Wars, which provides her with another channel to express her unique tastes - from lavish ambient to bracing jungle and beyond. Originally a digital shop, Format Wars will move into a physical space in early December 2022. 

Blume’s Patterns of Perception 104 is an homage to a multitude of formative moments in Berlin: indelible, visceral musical experiences that have shaped her vision and being. 
Crystal clear reflections of hazy sequences in which the unexpected became the norm. An emotional connection of disparate times as unfettered energy warps into mind-bending experimentation. Sharp polyrhythms expanding out of mesmerising, high-speed techno trips. Endless energy and motion. 
This mix reflects the feeling and eclecticism of odd Berlin nights - the discovery, the euphoria and the memories that never die.

Nestled in the inner city of Basel, Switzerland, lies one of the more progressive and experimental outposts you can find for techno music: Timnah Sommerfeldt. A bastion for new and intrepid sounds to blur the lines between tempos, beats and space - it’s a platform that allows Timnah - in conjunction with her cohorts Garçon, Agonis, and Varuna - to continually define and redefine the non-existent.

By bringing a deeper, fourth world and atmospheric mix to her sound - the Timnah Sommerfeldt effect is as cerebral as it is rhythmic and immersive. With the gregarious side of techno seemingly always within earshot - it’s artist’s like Timnah Sommerfeldt who posses the ability to embrace entire spectrums of genre, making for a wholly beguiling experience every time.

Monty Luke. Very excited to have such an incredible producer, versatile DJ and label founder of Black Catalogue to spin for Spinning Grounds. Monty’s journey has taken him from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Detroit and then Berlin - recording new music, for labels like Hypercolour, Rekids, Planet-E, Classic, KMS, Cadenza, Blood of Thrones, 2MR and sharing his selections with crowds whereas he seldomly just sticks to only one genre. The music itself and feeling of it seem to be the red line and not the genre label of it - interweaving house, dub, dark disco, deep techno…. “I’m still in love with the idea of sharing music with people and the exchange of energy and ideas it can bring about.”

'Spinning Grounds' by @katharina-davids is all about opening grounds for newcomers to spin their music - to explore all facetes around genres from house, Detroit, dub techno to break beat.
