Born and raised in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, Stephen always knew he was meant to be an artist. From hosting his very own radio show called CONTACT on the most popular radio for electronic music in Bulgaria, to being a resident DJ of Yalta Club & Solar Festival to playing alongside the biggest artists in the world, he always aims to perform at his highest level, but never stops looking for an elevation kick.
 
Stephen developed his style by actively listening to and studying electronic music’s history and its origins. His style varies in between House and Techno, but never loses the sense of groove which he describes as the essential component of any composition. Stephen considers himself a creative innovator, which organically led him to follow the path of studying music production. Never satisfied with the current, he took the next step, focusing all of his efforts and dedication, towards the creation of his music studio. 

Stephen is an artist, whose ambitious approach and vision constantly evolve. His artistic journey is far from complete, as he’s eager to pursue a diversity of musical destinations. Deeply obsessed with meaningful music and space, he always explores the mysterious and unknown universe of sound. Make sure you follow him on this journey, as he loves to say “nobody has really achieved their goals without giving credit where credit’s due”.

As balear artist, the balear house sound is in his blood and that you can feel it in his tracks with that peculiar groove and way to understand underground house music. With his very first releases he was in the charts of Beatport, and since more than 15 years over 70 tops in the known portal show that he is in the likes of many DJs and fans around the world. Past 2020 he was in the top 14 most charted artists in Deep House genre of Beatport. Labels like Bondage Music , Little Helpers , Cyclic or Expmental Records have trusted his work, and we can always found him releasing in those labels and in many others. Has been remixed by very known artists in the underground scene and also worked as remixer for many of them. Many vinyl releases behind him where most of them are sold out shows many followers that the Spanish artists has in all different formats.

Today we have a very special mix from the legendary German DJ and Producer Sascha Funke. A kind of techno that sways between the polarity of emotional overload and concrete rationale – hence immediacy, is what Sascha Funke is all about.

As a twelve year-old Sascha listens to a lot of euro-dance-pop.His first purchased record after the fall of the wall was "Technotronic Mega Mix". A couple of years later he makes his first contact with techno and house thanks to Marusha's radio show 'Rave Satellite'. Being a regular listener results in Sascha buying his first techno record 'The Seawolf' (Underground Resistance).

M.A.N.D.Y. subsequently provided mixes for other labels, including „At the Controls“,  „Fabric“ and „Renaissance“. Following collaborations with Bob Moses, and Dubspeeka, as well as remixes for Roxy Music, Röyskopp, The Knife and Underworld to name just a few. The long-awaited debut artist album Double Fantasy was released, incl. collaborations with the iconic Jungle Brothers and the classical and experimental pianist Francesco Tristano . 2018 signaled the beginning of a new era for M.A.N.D.Y, since Patrick Bodmer will continue to fly the flag under M.A.N.D.Y. without his former partner and childhood friend Philipp Jung, who started his solo project „Forever Jung“.
