A/D/E/P is the new release from Belgian production duo GoldFFinch, who have been causing a stir of late with their readily identifiable sound. With recent releases on labels like Innervisions, Turbo and Dirtybird, the two Belgians have proven they have what it takes to grab an audience’s attention and this two track EP is no exception.

First up is ‘Algae’, a beautifully orchestrated piece of music, with a tense, almost melancholic tone that successfully threads its way through the whole track. Subtle where it needs to be and always becoming, give into it and this track will take you to far flung places.

‘Dilligence’ meanwhile opens with basic percussion that introduces the track’s first elements and sets a tone that right up to the end takes it into perfect after-hours territory.  With no let up the driving factor is the constant barrage of percussion over which the duo go to work with their synths laying down ambient textures. Together these tracks form a brilliant EP; one we couldn’t be happier to share with you.

Great Stuff proudly presents volume six of it’s “To The Underground” series. The series features solely exclusive tracks. Hand picked with only the dance floor in mind. Tracks that will work crowds and elevate dj sets. 

To The Underground Vol.6 kick starts with JJ Mullor & Toni Carrillo’s “Yeah“. An uplifting tech house beast, that features a rolling bassline, which was constructed to take dance floors by storm. The smooth female vocal snippets and the tight groove programming are keeping things moving forward in a fun way.

Next up is Joe Mesmar’s dark “I Feel So Weak”. This prime time techno weapon consists of the perfect late night vibes: Pitched down vocals, a growling bassline and moody pads. 

Slovenia’s vibrant duo Alex Long & Stanny Abram take us on an expedition. Haunting melodic bits & pieces and a thick minimal techno groove are the foundation for “Heat”.

Crunchy sounds float throughout hight-tech percussions, while the rough pads provide the right amount of energy. Luigi Gori & Anis Hachemi also manage to playfully work stirring vocals into their slick arrangement. Their “Just One” composition is the perfect mood setter.

The striking feature of Alex Ranerro’s “Shelter” is it’s constantly morphing groove and enormous bassline that support the engaging vocal particles in the most stylish way. Monstrous drops and tight pads make this a peak-time sure shot!

Rodrik is completing this fine collection of quality electronic music. His “Trece” is all about the distinct and profound melody. It leads the way through a wide field of delay-filled sounds and temperamental snare builds.

I have a cheeky we French number for you today. Produced by Lyon’s rising tech-house star, Spencer K.

I was first introduced to Spencer by Metodi Hristov who collaborated with him on “Basic Tricks”, their Hot Since 82/Danny Daze/Robert Dietz supported bomb from late 2014.

Since then he has given us “Vodka Way”. Was it an ode to the standard DJ rider most clubs opt for? Who knows... What I can say for sure is that it featured on GU’s (Top 10 tech house) Ibiza album and was supported by the likes of Catz’n’Dogz, Wade, The Mekanism & Thermalbear.

For his debut EP on GU he delivers 2 brand new solo tracks and a superb collaboration with Saved/Suruba/Kinetika artist Dennis Cruz.

“Impacto” (with Cruz) kicks off the EP. Heavy brass stabs and oddball vocal effects make a unique topline while some clever percussion and bouncing bottom end deliver a killer club groove that - to me - sounds as fresh and dance-floor ready as Metodi’s “Step Outside” did two summers ago. 

“Dynamite” takes things up a notch with looping vocals and air-punching synths. “Hard Struggle” maintains the energy levels with rolling synths, rapid-fire snares and a cool vocal and for those that missed it first time around, “Vodka Way” is here for you too.

It was back in May of 2014 that Sierra Sam and Kink brought nearly an entire studio worth of analog gear down to Watergate for an extended live jam on the water floor. Over the course of three days the two wizards constructed an extended array of vintage synthesizers, drum machines and effects units in preparation for their exhibition of unheard grooves and melodies. Both Sam and Kink are highly acclaimed analog artists and both have leagues of faithful followers as is apparent in their hefty tour schedules and Kink's rise to #1 on this years Resident Advisor Top Live Acts poll, so it was a no brainer to have the two join forces for a night of purely improvised dance music mania. After talking with Sam and Kink, we came to the conclusion that the best way to deliver this was to let the people have the original performance so they can relive the show in all it's authenticity. After careful deliberation and attention to detail, the duo have cut a portion of the original set and re-edited small bits for your maximum listening indulgence, so, turn it on and turn it up. It's time to relive a moment of pure innovation and class when two of the finest live performers united as one. With releases on some of electronic music’s most respected labels including Innervisions, Turbo, Get Physical, Dirtybird and Glasgow’s Numbers, it’s no surprise Belgian Techno duo GoldFFinch were recently named as “one of the hottest names in house and techno”.

Joining the dots between the music of Detroit, Chicago, Berlin and London, the duo made up of Yoann and Gilles have created their own unmistakeable sound, a dark, hard and yet melodic take on House and Techno that has made them a favourite of some of the biggest DJs around, from the likes of Skream to Ambivalent and Jackmaster.

And whilst much recent attention has been focused on their studio work GoldFFinch have found themselves equally in demand behind the decks. The pair’s formative years spent listening to Hip-Hop shining through as they take an eclectic approach to building a DJ set, disregarding strict adherence to genre in favour of making crowds sweat it out on the dance floor. It’s a style that works and has made them a regular at some of the best clubs around the world, wow crowds at festivals across Europe and put them on first name terms with the passport control officers at Brussels International Airport.

Here we find a couple of heavyweights facing off with one of the centre pieces of Orgue Electronique's acclaimed "Strange Paradise" album. And once you've crossed it's event horizon it proceeds to quite exquisitely tear you to shreads. Speaking of which, if you ever do make it to the other side, you will find up 'n cummer Willie Burns (who is known to many as the Brooklyn Budgie Smuggler) oldschool Jacking the faders with two of the sikkest organic beat tracks north of the corpse of Ron (who is in a dead heat with Jimi, Jim and James in the race for most desecrated musician in like 4evah). Bodmer and his former band partner Philipp Jung, along with DJ T. and Booka Shade are the founders of Get Physical, which became one of the most popular dance labels in the world. M.A.N.D.Y. subsequently provided mixes for other labels, including „At the Controls“,  „Fabric“ and „Renaissance“. Following collaborations with Bob Moses, and Dubspeeka, as well as remixes for Roxy Music, Röyskopp, The Knife and Underworld to name just a few. The long-awaited debut artist album Double Fantasy was released, incl. collaborations with the iconic Jungle Brothers and the classical and experimental pianist Francesco Tristano . 2018 signaled the beginning of a new era for M.A.N.D.Y, since Patrick Bodmer will continue to fly the flag under M.A.N.D.Y. without his former partner and childhood friend Philipp Jung, who started his solo project „Forever Jung“.
