What began as an intimate Sunday daytime party, along the back-streets of Birmingham, has fast become one of the UK's most exciting clubbing brands. Renowned for its no-worries, no-attitude atmosphere over the last 2 years GLAS has pushed the boundaries of what considered the norm, establishing itself as one of the most unique and forward thinking brands in the Industry! Insane themes, venue transformations, pyrotechnics, light shows, entertainers, world-renowned DJ talent and stand-out promotional techniques have made up events ranging in size from 500 capacity shindigs to 3000+ gala events, road closures, a monthly residency at Amnesia (Ibiza) and a full season at Es Paradis!

During 2011 the brand steps forward again with a refreshed look, feel and concept. Headline DJs and Artists will be making more regular appearances, pushing the music policy forward in a wide range of genres. The Birmingham parties continue as the premier event and experience in the Midlands now joined by our Monthly event in Leeds. Hosting the first Saturday of the Month at club Mission, our first party of the year saw over 900 people in attendance! The Support and planning for the year ahead will undoubtedly produce some of the most talked about, anticipated and celebrated parties and memories!

Rooted in rhythm and driven by an innate passion for music, Jay Newman has shaped his identity within the electronic music scene, bringing energy and depth to every performance. Hailing from Midlands UK, his journey began not in the studio but on the dancefloor—as a devoted raver absorbing the pulse of underground house music. It wasn’t long before he realized that his place wasn’t just in the crowd but behind the decks, curating experiences for others. His transition from enthusiast to artist was a natural evolution, fueled by his relentless pursuit of rhythm, melody, and atmosphere.

He quickly earned his first DJ residency before taking a bold step to establish his event brand, PRO-JECT, and launching a warehouse club in his hometown. Booking industry heavyweights like CamelPhat, Latmun, and Sonny Fodera, cemented his reputation as both a tastemaker and a driving force within the scene. This momentum propelled him onto the global stage, earning residencies at world-renowned festivals such as Hideout, Snowbombing, Defected, and The Warehouse Project, as well as becoming a World Tour Artist for the Ministry of Sound. His journey extended beyond the UK, with international residencies at La Mar Beach Club in Doha and a pivotal role as Head of Music and Event Manager at Ibiza Rocks.

Inspired by Marsh and Ben Böhmer, he values their approach of letting the music speak for itself, resonating with global audiences in its purest form. Musically, Jay’s sound is a seamless fusion of organic, melodic, and progressive house—a style that encapsulates both emotion and energy. Jay’s productions have found a home on esteemed labels like Sekora Records, Viva Music, Sound Avenue, Stripped Recordings, Krafted and Kittball to name a few. His recent track ‘Zen’ on Armada Music garnered significant recognition, earning airplay on BBC Radio 1 and reinforcing his ability to craft records that resonate with audiences worldwide. With an exciting release schedule lined up, including returns to esteemed labels like Sekora and Enormous Tunes, his trajectory continues to ascend, shaping his presence on the global scene.
