I made this track using inspiration from old-school Industrial and Industrial Metal from the late 90s and early 2000s. The idea was to incorporate elements of that style with modern bass heaviness and mastering as well as several other modern sensibilities. To envision what 90s Industrial Metal might sound like if that style was invented today instead of back then. I took a lot of inspiration from the Quake 2 soundtrack more than anything else though. I then also took the liberty to see what more I could do with that sound by incorporating influence from 90s hip-hop for the beat structure in the latter 3rd section of the song which actually just so happens to now be one of my favorite things I've ever done with music. Making this song taught me that my favorite genres actually CAN be combined in the way I've always wanted them to be.

My two favorite genres, including all the subgenres under their umbrellas, have always been Industrial and HipHop. I just want to create music that honors my love for them and share it with the world before I die. I also love poetry and philosophy so I figured, "why not fuse everything I love together?"
