This piece was inspired by the tumultuous life of Canadia-Russian cyber-clerk, Igor Gouzenko and research for a trailer on Gouzenko that I got to score for Toronto filmmaker Geordie Sabbagh.  It chronicles his brave choice to reveal to the Canadian government a Soviet spy ring that spanned Britain, America and Canada, a move which some say began the Cold War. Thanks to the support of the ACWC's first ever Strings Recording Project, which gave me the opportunity to write this piece, under the guidance of composer Ariel Marx,  and then record it with the FAMES Recording Orchestra's 40-piece string orchestra!
