Solomun remixes German rap group K.I.Z’s track „Samstag Ist Krieg“ which translates to „Saturday is War“ - a play at rowdy nights out in Berlin. 
A deep and hypnotic beat pulsating like the capital’s U-Bahn going over rails paired with the vocals of Tarek K.I.Z that range from whispers to screams set a gloomy vibe right off the bat. Synthesizers start flaring up like emotions on an intoxicating bender, and then all culminates in a night-defining climax.

Dieses DJ-Set ist meinem verstorbenen Freund Holger Hofmann gewidmet, auch bekannt als Der Indianer oder einfach Indi. Geboren am 28. Oktober 1960, verstarb er am 1. Mai 2024 - dem Tag der Arbeit. Ein passender Abschied für einen Mann, der unermüdlich kämpfte, oft gegen sich selbst, aber immer mit Leidenschaft.

Indi war eine wilde Seele, ein Punk im Herzen, ein Entdecker von Klang und Gedanken. Er forderte die Welt heraus, kämpfte manchmal mit ihr, fand aber Trost in der Musik, in tiefen Gesprächen und in unserer gemeinsamen Liebe zu elektronischen Landschaften. Dieser Mix ist eine Hommage an ihn, an unsere gemeinsame Zeit und an die Beats, die uns in Bewegung hielten.

Ruhe in Beats, mein Freund. Der Klang deiner Seele wird weiterleben.

This DJ set is dedicated to my late friend Holger Hofmann, also known as Der Indianer or simply Indi. Born on October 28, 1960, he passed away on May 1, 2024—Labor Day, a fitting farewell for a man who fought tirelessly, often against himself, but always with passion.

Indi was a wild soul, a punk at heart, an explorer of sound and thought. He challenged the world, sometimes struggled with it, but found solace in music, in deep conversations, and in our shared love for electronic landscapes. This mix is a tribute to him, to our time together, and to the beats that kept us moving.

Rest in beats, my friend. The echoes of your soul will live on.
