Bill Vega & David James have been involved with Dance music since 1991. They have produced & DJ’d under many different guises in an array of genres and have a long history with pirate radio. For over 25 years they have been active in the evolving scenes of Hardcore, Drum & Bass, Breaks and House music.

By 1990 Hardcore had evolved from the Acid House scene. Breakbeats were taking over the UK raves and this set a small group of friends from Romford (Essex) on their way to pirate radio, raves and record labels. At just 15 years old they taught themselves to mix on shoddy bedroom set ups which soon progressed to producing. In 1991 the label ‘Out Of Romford’ was launched by fellow producer ‘New Decade’. The label went on to supply major releases in rave history with its biggest being the anthemic ‘Get The Message’ by New Decade. It was also responsible for signing early tracks by Andy C & Ant Miles as ‘Desired State’, giving them a platform to start the legendary ‘RAM Records’.

Pirate radio at this time had exploded in London and by 1993 they had brought Hardcore to the airwaves of Essex via their own stations ‘Shakedown FM’ & ‘Conflict FM’. Their radio involvement continued throughout the whole of the 90’s as Hardcore evolved into Drum & Bass. Bill Vega (as DJ Infinity) launched his productions on Out Of Romford Records in 1993, gaining support from top flight DJ’s such as LTJ Bukem. He also worked alongside Ant Miles (Origin Unknown) and DJ Freedom releasing Drum & Bass on RAM’s sister label, ‘Liftin’ Spirit Records’. When ‘Flatliner’ signed to RAM in ‘94 they secured a show on one of London’s infamous radio stations of the 90’s, ‘Weekend Rush FM’. To have played on this iconic station that was so important in the development of the rave scene was an honour. It wasn’t long before their graveyard shifts progressed to prime time Sunday nights on Rush FM during arguably the best year for Jungle/Drum & Bass, 1995.

By the end of 1996 Drum & Bass was changing rapidly. As the breakbeats faded from D&B so did their passion for it. House music became a new priority for Bill Vega & David James whilst keeping the ever popular sound of ‘91/’92 Hardcore alive. They re-launched Shakedown FM in 1997 and promoted their own ‘Hardcore Revival’ raves, held a residency with Oldskool promoters ‘Raindance’ and presented additional shows on London’s ‘Eruption FM’.  

After a run of shows on London’s ‘Passion FM’, Bill Vega was back in the studio with New Decade to start their ‘Nuskool Breaks’ productions. Their first track in this genre ‘Mind Beats’ was signed to ED209’s ‘Wireframe’ label which launched them into this emerging scene. They soon found themselves being an established act as they churned out releases and remixes whilst playing regular club nights & festivals in the UK, Spain and across Europe. In 2003 they set up their own Breaks label ‘Full Intent’ and were asked to appear on the Annie Nightingale show on BBC Radio 1. Their tracks featured heavily during breakbeat shows on Kiss FM as they remained at the forefront of this underground but global genre where oldskool influences became their trademark sound. The label ran until their signing to ‘Bassrock Records’ in 2004 where they continued a busy release, remix & DJ schedule with a brief return to D&B shortly after. With well over 100 releases between them since 1991 they have made a significant mark on the ever evolving genres of electronic music. 

In 2016 Bill Vega & David James joined London's biggest House radio station 'Select'. Tech House, Techno, Deep House & Nu Disco were the sounds of their Sunday night show for well over a year. 2018 and beyond brings a new project from Bill Vega. 'The Hardcore Archives' is a video mix series showcasing the entirety of his Oldskool Hardcore collection from 1991 to 1993. DJ Rooster is one of today’s most prolific DJ/Producer based out of New York City.  Born in New York from Cuban parents and raised in New York City. DJ Rooster accredits his music and sounds to his roots and the environment he grew up in. 

On the production front DJ Rooster has released and remixed records on the most influential record labels in the past decade which include Juicy Music, Cutting Records, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Azuli, Ultra, Deeperfect, Hatrax, InHouse, and Tweek’d Records just to name a few. 

Rooster’s DJ sets have been described as the sickest and most hardcore ever heard by clubbers and industry professionals alike. Rooster adds an additional flavor by hyping up the crowd on the mic during his sets, taking the crowd into frenzy, thus adding that extra spark to his live shows. A definite must see! Rooster has shared the stage with world known renowned superstar DJ’s Roger Sanchez, Robbie Rivera, Axwell, Steve Angello, Hatiras, Louie Vega, Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez and Todd Terry.

 DJ LUKSTA 
	It all started back when I was 14 got hooked on the early warehouse and acidhouse sounds, I got hold of some mis-matched belt drives and a shoddy mixer and started to play everywhere I could housepartys/barn raves and so on.
I soon upgraded to the industry standard turntables and things progressed better. I got gigs in pre-club pubs and bars then I got into local nights warmups.
I moved to France for the snow and got myself residences at resort clubs, whilst also still playing at all the big parties, competitions and events around the Alps playing with a lot of my peers. Playing at the bottom of the moon park half pipe competition is something I will always cherish.
But real life took over and I took myself away from the scene and got married and started a family. Ten years on and the digital revolution has picked up immense speed  and I find myself loving it all again. I got a controller and embraced the massive new wave of tech thats so readibly available and find myself here on Househeadsradio. You can catch me every week, either on Fridays from 10pm-12am (UK time) or Sunday 2pm-4pm where I get the privilege to alternate with the legend DJ Mac on our Smoke & Mirror show,  full of the finest tech, piano, vocal, deep bass house.

Grammy Award nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. Already devoted to turntables, he heard something different in those tracks, and he “went for the difference. I never got a break in New York, but England happened right away, so I catered to them.” In any event, the Todd Terry sound was born.

By 1988, Todd Terry hit big in England and Europe, and his notoriety was making its way back to the U.S. In addition to DJ appearances, Todd was cutting his classic underground tracks A Day In The Life, Weekend, and Can You Party, released under monikers such as the Todd Terry Project, House Of Gypsies, and Royal House, all considered essential and ground breaking.

In the mid 90’s, the Ministry of Sound’s eponymous UK label released A Day In The Life, a collection of Todd Terry tracks that had been causing dance floor panic. That then led the way to a deal with Mercury Records allowing him to set up a context in which to work with his favourite singers and performers. The first release, Keep On Jumpin’ on featured a vocal workout from super-divas Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, together for the first time ever. The song became a top 10 UK crossover pop hit and worldwide smash. Todd followed with the anthem ‘Somethin Going On’, a top 5 UK crossover pop hit.

All the while, Todd continued to break new ground as a Producer/Remixer. From SNAP to Annie Lennox to George Michael to Bjork, Todd’s mixes bridge the ground between club cool and commercial accessibility. In 1995, his remix for Everything But The Girl’s Missing became a worldwide smash, giving the British duo their first ever hit. He then rode the charts with mixes for Garbage (Stupid Girl), The Cardigans (Love Fool), Everything But The Girl (Wrong), 10,000 Maniacs (More Than This), Jamiroquai (Alright), The Cardigans (Been It), and The Lightning Seeds (You Showed Me),.among others. He also produced a Robin S track (Givin’ You All That I’ve Got) for the multi-platinum Space Jam soundtrack.

INK/Distinctive Records 2005 release The Todd Terry Trilogy: Past, Present & Future on 3 x CD & 10 x 12” vinyl has inspired Todd fans both old and new with over 30 Todd classics and 10 new Todd songs. Todd is also releasing a barrage of new singles on Blanco y Negro, Elementary Group, and Manifesto/Mercury (who are also re-releasing the ‘Keep On Jumpin’ and ‘Somethin Going On’ in 2006). Ministry of Sound has licensed Philippe B Vs. Todd Terry ‘Can You Feel It (Can You Party)’ for a major 2006 release, a new version of the Todd classic Royal House ‘Can You Party’.

Todd Terry All Stars feat. Kenny Dope, DJ Sneak, Terry Hunter, & Tara McDonald’s ‘Get Down’ will be released in 2007 on Strictly Rhythm. This red hot single is the first proper original release on the re-launched legendary label.

‘Strictly Todd Terry’ compilation mixed by Todd Terry will be released in 2007 on Strictly Rhythm. Todd’s mix follows installments by Masters at Work and Tiefschwarz in this newly launched series.
