■Introduction

旧名義の代表コンテンツ"Lara to MeRRY"シリーズより、「Wendy Port Street」を筆頭とした3曲をBandcampにて配信開始いたしました。今回は特別に「Wendy Port Street」をSound Cloudにもフル版で公開いたします。

ララはメリーの誘いで初めて大都会フリードフォークスの劇場街ウェンディポート通りにやって来ます。きらびやかな劇場が建ち並び、イルミネーションやビルボードに飾られ、沢山の歌と踊りに彩られた華やかな街に心を躍らせますが、初めて見る光景に戸惑います。そんなララをメリーは可愛らしくエスコートし、二人は楽しい時間を過ごしていきます。

「Lara to MeRRY」はミュージカル映画黄金期の華やかな作風をオマージュしたコンテンツで、本作のプロットは「Broadway Melody」等に影響を受けています。

楽曲のインスピレーション元となったのはオリバー（1968年のミュージカル映画）の「Who will buy?」で、マイナーコードによるアグレッシブなリズム感を踏襲。そこにLara to MeRRYのトレードマークであるアコーディオンとフィドル、ピアノの掛け合いを組合わせて全体を構築。Show Tuneらしい華やかなポップオーケストラに乗せて哀愁のある旋律を奏でます。

■Overture/Nocturne
今回は「Lara to MeRRY」のOverture、Nocturneの2つもリメイクし、Bandcampにて配信開始いたしました。こちらはShow Tuneらしい壮大で煌びやかな楽曲に仕上げ、youtubeに公開した動画では往年のミュージカル映画を模した演出で起用しております。
Overtureは2部構成で、公開当時は「序曲～雨だれ散歩道」と名付けていました。リメイクではタップダンス音を入れて、往年のミュージカルへのオマージュを込めています。
Nocturneはクリスマス企画として作られた楽曲であり、所々にクリスマスらしいサウンドが散りばめられています^^*

■今出来る事
この様な厳しい時勢の中で、皆様に少しでも前向きな音楽を届けたいという思いから、「Lara to MeRRY」作品のリメイクを実施するはこびとなりました。色々言葉にすると恥ずかしいのですが......私自身も音楽屋の端くれとして今出来る事をやっていきたいと思います。
