In Off-Peak, players will uncover a world where the fate of it's musicians and artists is unclear, yet their tools of the trade are highly prized. Meanwhile, the station itself provides all the comforts a commuter could ask for: great food, the best beer, entertaining board games, relaxing gardens. But *who* is really benefiting here? It is entirely up to the player to what degree they want to engage in and interpret Off-Peak's stories, characters and themes. 

About the album: 

The music that accompanies Off-Peak has been stewing in a variety of forms for a few years. With Off-Peak the game, it's given a particular context and function, soundtracking the player's journey through an original world. The games' themes and messages interweave with the music. 

As a standalone soundtrack album, however, the tracks unfurl at their own pace and in their own space, delving into the abstract emotional and sonic landscapes Archie is known for, deeper than ever before. The band brings its full instrumental arsenal to the table, alongside powerful vocals courtesy of Novelty Daughter, Gabe Garzon-Montano and others. 

The spirit of openness that has been in the band's DNA from the beginning is represented in full-force on the Off-Peak OST.

The beachfront was the place to hang as the sun dipped beneath the horizon. The shadowy figures were dotted in clusters up and down the pier as they smoked in the warm night air. In the evenings there was very little to do around these parts but drink and dance, perhaps move a little under the flickering spotlights of some sleazy nightclub. The summertime madness engulfed this place with a progressive sense of purity and freedom. Hedonism, decadence galore. 

Loure is set to release a new EP on Noire & Blanche, gorgeous deep house with a sun kissed twist.

@interstate98's first release on @waxtefacts was ‘Vanice Beach’, a funky roller that owes as much to disco as the club. He’s followed that up in perfect fashion with a solo EP for the label.

Kicking that EP off is ‘Karl-Löwe-St. Groove (ft. Biroll)’, a track that opens with melancholy piano before erupting in a blaze of searing disco samples packed to the rafters with funk and groove. It’s one for peak-time dancefloor destruction.

German producer Tom Wax brings his own spin to the track adding a pumping, driving electro inspired beat which turns this into a serious mainroom monster!

Finally we have the Island Mix which oozes sexy house grooves perfect for the clubs and the beach parties.
