Jess Tomlinson(Clarinettist)and Polly Virr(Celloist)spent 16 weeks delivering a music residency on Ward 85, 75 and Outpatients at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital as part of a Lime Music for Health music programme funded by Manchester Foundation Trust Charity. This music has been created and recorded during the covid-19 lockdown in celebration of this residency and for families and patients in RMCH to enjoy during this time of isolation.

Spring Mist

Water Monkeys

An overall highlight has been the transformative effect of the music sessions on the Facility. We were welcomed and supported by staff, and quickly felt  part of the unit. This staff session highlighted the value in music making as a means of staff wellbeing, giving staff space to take a little time out and join together in a session with therapeutic benefit; staff  had the opportunity to be playful, reflective, creative and communicative through the music and share in a fun activity as a collective team.
