This album is Classic Rock…Vol.8 which continues with more classic rock hits across the genres and generations. It contains music from (1953) to (2012). 

Pretend is a popular song, written in 1952 by Dan Belloc, Lew Douglas, Cliff Parman and Frank Levere. It was made famous by Nat King Cole in 1953. This is an upbeat version using the same lyrics and I have added some extra elements to match this Album’s theme by making the song into a rock anthem, instead of a love ballad.

There are songs from the 60’s featuring, ‘What Does It Take To Win Your Love’, a 1968 song that was a hit single by ‘Junior Walker And The All Stars’. 

Other 60’s songs include ‘To Whom It Concerns’, which is a 1965 Hit by British singer and song writer ‘Chris Andrews’. ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ is a song by American singer-songwriter ‘Bob Dylan’ and was released on July 1965.

Hits from the 70’s include ‘I’m Just A Singer In A Rock And Roll Band’, which is a 1973 hit single by the British rock band the Moody Blues, written by the band's bassist, John Lodge and was first released in 1972.

‘Can The Can’ is the second solo single by American singer-songwriter Suzi Quatro and her first to reach number one in the UK, spending a single week at the top of the chart in June 1973.

Barracuda’ is a song by American rock band Heart, released in 1977 on their third studio album, ‘Little Queen’, and was released as the album's lead single. The song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

‘San Francisco Bay’ is a song by the British rock band ‘Smokie’ from their 1979 studio album ‘The Other Side of the Road’. ‘The Lies In You Eyes’ is a song by British Band ‘The Sweet’ and was released in Feb 1976.

‘Evil Woman’ is a song written by lead vocalist ‘Jeff Lynne’ and recorded by ELO. It was first released on the band's fifth album, 1975's ‘Face the Music’. ‘Livin' Thing’ is also written by ‘Jeff Lynne’ and performed by ELO. It appears on their 1976 album ‘A New World Record’ and was also released as a single.

Eighty’s hits include ‘Urgent’ which is a song by the British-American Rock Band Foreigner and the first single from their album ‘4’ in 1981. ‘All I Want Is You’ is a song by Irish rock band U2. from their album Rattle and Hum’ and was released in June 1989.

‘Addicted To Love’ is a song by English rock singer Robert Palmer released in 1986. ‘You Can Do Magic’ is a song by singer-songwriter Russ Ballard that was recorded as a 1982 single by folk rock duo ‘America’ from their album ‘View from the Ground’.

Ninety’s Hits Include ‘Angela’ which is a 1992 song by the Austrian Band ‘Moonbeats’ and was written by Andreas Gasse and Gerd Joring.

Hits from 2000 onwards include ‘If I Were A Boy’, which is a song by American singer Beyoncé, written by Toby Gad, BC Jean, and Beyoncé Knowles for her third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce’. 

‘All Summer Long (Sweet Home Alabama)’ is a song by American recording artist Kid Rock. It was released in 2008 as the third single from his seventh studio album, ‘Rock n Roll Jesus’ (2007). It was inspired by Bob Seger's song "Night Moves", and samples "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd and "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon.   

‘Drive By’ is a song by American rock band Train from their sixth studio album, ‘California 37’. It was released in the United States as the album's lead single on January 10, 2012.

I’m very happy and proud of this classic rock album, which I feel is up there as one of best albums I have recorded and produced to-date.

If I Were A Boy (O'Neill Fernandes)

Carrie's self-titled song from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cinderella. It's a fantastic musical (which I saw twice) that really didn't deserve to close in the West End - it was another victim of Covid.

The spoken section is from Carrie's video blog just before she goes on stage for the first time. The crowd chanting is from a WWE wrestling match, I love the energy and rawness it has.
