Our cabin attendants are superbly designed, but there's only one problem: when they've served on so many long journeys, fatigue begins to set in. For example, they might want to laugh, but the smile would be slow to come. They might want to cry, but the tear wouldn't well up till the next day.

From the early days in the UK, Solskala strive to be different; fusing Western music with Afro-Latin and world beats to create a mesmerising but accessible sound-space. The rebirth of this project in Southern Spain now features the multi-faceted talents of Rocío Starry from Madrid on vocals and as ever, Martyn Thompson from London at the controls with live instruments.
