djcob is a Hamburg-based DJ. As a resident at @exit_universe, he is making a name for himself with his distinctive sets. His sound is deep but very rhythmic and hypnotic techno with occasional melodic tracks woven in. Through extensive layering, he creates an atmosphere of calm yet focused energy that keeps everyone on the dancefloor moving.

He has been honing his DJ skills since 2023, reaching a high level of technical and artistic proficiency. Drawing on techniques from playing nearly every genre, he has developed a unique style that has earned him gigs at some of Hamburg’s biggest clubs. His journey behind the decks continues with unwavering passion.

Widely acclaimed for his standout EPs on Clergy, Bidoben makes his debut on Sublunar with Torment, an EP that distills his vision of techno into a multifaceted journey, marked by precision, depth, and a sound that’s unmistakably his own.

The EP opens with Suspended Relief, a powerful and relentless track built to ignite the floor. It’s followed by 28-33, a hypnotic cut with a gripping groove and refined sound design. Torment, the title track, brings a psychedelic atmosphere with an arrangement that sticks in your head.

The B-side starts with Unfair, a peak-time weapon crafted to tear the floor apart, then moves into Calx, a trippy and mental journey deep into hypnotic territory. The release closes with Snakeholes, where nostalgia and power meet in a distinctive blend.

The digital version includes Resurgence, a loopy, driving track designed to fit seamlessly into any moment of the night.

I am glad to finally share this new vinyl with you all, coming from my deeper emotional side.

This is a tribute & was made during a place of sadness & grief for two amazing humans we lost last years, Rob Maguire on 18 december 2023 & Léa-Rose Besson aka Radical Softness on 14 February 2024.

They were the most unconditonnal loving persons I ever met, sharing love, breathing love, teaching us so much about being better everydays, leaving us as their mission on Earth were completed.

Still, the ones who stay, stand still. With only our memories to remember their souls, being infused by their aura of life forever. Its from those people when you feel instantly good around, making you feel confortable, loving yourself more, accepting yourself & being vulnerable while powerful.

From all over the world and especially in Berlin, many of us where impacted so much by their kindness and souls, offering us a space to be heard & seen, when so many of us couldn't. We all know that it was such a priviledge to knew them & shared wisdom with and timeless experiences, being kids around old souls, teaching us how to love beyond time & space.

Its from this place that most of the tracks of this EP were created, fighting for resilience through dark times. I felt the need to make them this tribute while healing from pain to find love in myself and others. Being grateful for everything that happens in life even if it never last.

Gaman, from the japanese means, perseverance. That illustrate never giving up on ourselves, our dreams, our life, keep shining one day after the other, because being alive is the most unique priviledge we will ever have.

While everything is temporary, music still belong, making them heard a little bit longer through vibrations.

My dear Rob, my dear Lea, may you rest in peace, may we see us again in another realm. We love you.

Thank you to everyone, I hope you will appreciate this release full of emotions available in vinyl & digital on all platforms / fav record shop.
