Nothin' Special is an Alternative Reggae-Rock band with Hip-Hop,  90's Alternative and Punk influences from bands like Sublime, Rage Against The Machine, Rebelution, etc. The band consists of four members: Chase Avalos with guitar/vocals, Jake Stevens on guitar, Miguel Tiburcio on bass, and Ricky Valentine on drums. The band members first met each other in high school, playing as the rhythm section for a vocal ensemble. Their friendship led to forming a band outside of school, which would lead to the creation of The Skavengers. The four members and their horn section focused primarily on a ska punk sound and played multiple shows in the Sacramento area, including opening up for  the Arizona Punk Rock band, Authority Zero. After about eight months of the band being together, complication occurred and The Skavengers disbanded. Five months later, as things settled down, the group played a show just for fun and decided they wanted to start a band again. With a change in the line-up, change of style, and change of name, the hard-hitting, punch-you-in-the-face-softly(sometimes) sound of Nothin' Special was born. 

乇ﾚﾉﾌﾑん (Translated from Japanese: Moreno Hum)

Meaning:

- Moreno: Emerging from the shadows, "Moreno" exudes a mysterious aura, embodying the essence of the enigmatic and the unconventional. At the same time, like sun-kissed skin, "Moreno" glows with the warmth of dancing under the sun, embodying the essence of vibrant energy.

- Hum: "Hum" resonates like the heartbeat of rhythm, a cryptic vibration pulsating through the music, igniting your soul.

Together, 乇ﾚﾉﾌﾑん (Moreno Hum) creates an enigmatic realm where moonlit melodies and captivating rhythms converge. It beckons seekers to embark on an immersive journey into a world where mystery, vibrant energy, and rhythm intertwine. Beyond the shadows, "Moreno Hum" weaves a tale of contrasts, revealing a musical landscape that transcends boundaries and embraces the transformative power of dance.

Crow Canyon was formed in late 2011 by guitarist Riley Donahue, bassist Nathan Puckett, and drummer Drew Thomsen. Influenced by groups like Tame Impala and Foals, Crow Canyon's original and distinctive sound has been in a constant state of evolution since its inception. The electrifying vocals of Riley Donahue and Nathan Puckett, Drew Thomsen's unique background in jazz drumming, and the recent incorporation of Puckett's synth have come together to form a style reminiscent of 60's psychedelic rock. Through the years, the trio has developed an extensive track record of live performances, and has shared the stage with Grammy award-winning artists Stelth Ulvang of The Lumineers, and Dave Alvin of The Blasters. Crow Canyon puts on a captivating show with their exciting original songs, and a small assortment of covers, ranging from Rush to Sublime.
