BIOGRAPHY:

DJ Andy de Gage' is a DJ and producer for melodic progressive house and techno. He hails from Germany.

Already as a small boy he became interested in the disco sound of the 1970s. As a teenager he was fascinated by Italo Disco Music and in the meantime breakdance conquered the world with his music and DJ Andy de Gage' moved as a breakdancer to the sounds of Grandmaster Flash, Herbie Hancock, The Rock Steady Crew, and Afrika Bambataa, at that time hat he cut the music onto cassettes and gave them to all his friends, but later switched to turntables and vinyls. He was also inspired by the synth pop that emerged in the 80s. Acid, Chicago House, House and Techno.
He has been a DJ in regional clubs, bars and discotheques and was a guest at the greatest Hessian Radio Station. At last he was on the ADE in Amsterdam at the Labelshow from Tanzgemeinschaft, Chrome Records, EMA.
His repertoire today includes deep house, classic house, melodic and progressive house and techno.

DJ Andy de Gage' started producing house and techno music himself in 2015. At first just as a hobby, but the enthusiasm kept growing, so that the first publication took place in 2019. He appeared on the labels: Sunexplosion, 200 DB, Datatech, Sounds of Meow, Melodic Tunes, MEGAO, Krafted Underground, Tanzgemeinschaft, QR Sound Records, Vorwärts Musik, LIKE THAT UNDERGROUND, Reckoning.records, coming soon on  City of Drums and Klagrebbellion.

Dragonfly Records is excited to share this special project from Gabriel Le Mar with you. 'The Unified Field' is a collaborative effort between some of our scenes most influential labels and artists with the vision and purpose to show we are all connected and united by music.

Joined by Ace Ventura, Jossie Telch, Mindbenderz, Silent Sphere, DM-Theory, Groovetitan and Innerzone, this album spans full-on, progressive, goa and psychedelic techno, resulting in a fantastic variety of dancefloor magic.

We will also be releasing a mirror to this with a full length album on our sister label Liquid Sound Design, focusing on downtempo electronica and funky grooves, featuring many of the same artists and the same tune... but with a more mellow twist.

Recently they have had multiple collaborations with Hernan Cattaneo and have released on some of the worlds biggest labels in their sphere. Deboom, Demud & Level

Those who are familiar with BassShaper’s sister plugin “Kickshaper” will remember the Deboom dial. Although sharing a name, the algorithm is entirely different and this time designed specifically for bass information. Activated by amplitude, boominess is tamed, resulting in a cleaner tone.

Using a special pitch tracking system, the Demud control dynamically reduces muddiness caused by note transitions and resonances, making individual pitches more pronounced.     
Traditional bass-riding plugins crudely alter the volume level of bass lines. BassShaper’s Level control is far more refined, driven by a pink noise signal, specially tuned to tame amplitude fluctuations and produce a consistently audible bass throughout your track. 
     
Punch & Fade

Sadly, bass compression tends to uniformly compress the entire bass line. However,  BassShaper’s Punch knob works differently. Targeting only the transient-heavy portions of the bass line, it applies precise compression or expansion, focussing on the initial milliseconds of each note for a super-defined reproduction.

The Fade control works inversely to Punch, by compressing or expanding only the tail portion of the audio. This allows you to shorten long bass notes or lengthen short ones, giving you another creative way to integrate bass lines with your other instrumentation.

Subtone

This section of the interface truly brings your audio to life. Unlike transient kicks, bass notes are often more sustained, demanding a deeper presence. Enter Subtone, our low-frequency generator. DJ Andy de Gage' is a talented DJ and producer specializing in melodic house and techno music. Born and raised in Germany, Andy discovered his passion for music at an early age. His journey into the world of electronic music began in the early 2018s when he decided to pursue a career as a DJ and started producing his own beats.

Andy took his first steps as a DJ in regional clubs, bars, and discotheques, where he honed his skills and developed a keen sense for various music styles. He got his first big break at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), where he participated in a label showcase hosted by Tanzgemeinschaft, Chrome Records, and EMA. His high-energy sets and ability to captivate audiences quickly made him a sought-after DJ in the scene.

One of his most memorable performances was at the "Zug der Liebe" event in Berlin, where he performed with the label Vorwärts Musik. Andy boasts a broad repertoire, ranging from deep house to classic house and into melodic and progressive techno. This musical diversity is also reflected in his productions.

In 2015, DJ Andy de Gage' ventured into producing his own music. Premiere: Timelapse - Don't Let Me Go [Automatik]

A A Bonafide ICONYC future classic, Solique's "Ordinary Things" is a true staple of refined sophistication. Led by an instantly recognizable vocal, the austro-swedish project's tantalizing piece has enthralled dancefloors and festivals worldwide for months, and now, we're excited to give it the remix treatment as it goes under the surgical vision of Prague-based maestro Spada, Dutch alchemist Volar, and Irish provocateur Olive Hatake, plus an exclusive "Piano Version" by famed Italian concert pianist Luigi R. Gargano. 

On our first remix, Spada steps up to the plate with a gorgeous percussive foundation that sets a most flavorful mood before meandering flanger squelches uncover a warm bassline that gently invites us deeper inside this lush take on "Ordinary Things". Smoldering yet restrained, Spada's velvet-laced reinterpretation suddenly reveals a tantalizing break in the clouds as every element converges into the void, exploding in a splendid genesis of a third act where icy arpeggios intertwine, traversing endlessly across the piece in an unrepeatable sliver of bliss.

The second version of "Ordinary Things" comes courtesy of Volar, who devises a throbbing low-end pulse that runs amok through the grit. As mangled vocals lend a gloomy and mysterious feel to this reinterpretation, the Dutch producer reveals a tantalizing lead that slithers across the piece, drawing hypnotic figures in mid-air while leading to a showstopping core where everything dissolves into the ether before resuming its unstoppable midnight march.

Our final remix in this comprehensive package is a most unique take and showcases Olive Hatake's unmistakable sonic signature as the Irish artist reconfigures "Ordinary Things" into a full-blown technicolor skitterish hybrid. Driving Solique's dazzling original into new territory, Olive pushes the tempo and unleashes a myriad of cascading arpeggios that interlock with swelling synths and an earth-quaking bassline for a wild ride across Rainbow Road.

Wrapping up this gemstone of a remix package, Luigi R. Gargano makes a sensational debut on ICONYC with a much-cherished "Piano Version". Intimate as ever, this breathtaking delivery finds the famed Italian pianist lowering his defenses as he strips "Ordinary Things" to its naked core, allowing for its story to be told by a rummaging piano that walks across the halls of yesterday in search for answers it might never come to find.
