It's Mocktail Monday: up-and-coming South African producer, dj and audio engineer, Buddynice, presents an exquisite Virgin Batanga. Your chance to recover from the weekend and kickoff things smoothly and with tons of soul this week!

Buddynice, or Nkosinathi Phakathi with his real name, was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. He is one of South Africa’s fastest-rising electronic music acts these days. It was during high school when he learned to make music, first on his cell phone and later with commonly used software and analog equipment.

In 2017, after his education, he started following the dream of being a music producer and DJ. After submitting a sample of his work to The Godfathers Of Deep House South Africa, Masia Mashapa (founder of the infamous South African deep house collective) was impressed enough to convince him to join the movement.

Productions like "Calling EmoBoys", "The Clip", "Runner" or "Assassins Creed" and many more followed. Buddynice soon started his own imprint Redemial Sounds and continued his career with well regarded releases on Stay True Sounds, House Africa & Atjazz Record Company as well as on his own label.

Currently, Buddynice is working on his debut Album "Rise", coming up later in 2022. As big fans of the South African electronic scene, we're extremely happy to feature another RSA talent with an amazingly beautiful mix on our channel! And, if you listen closely, you may be able to identify the sneak-peak of his upcoming album...

Mike Isai is a producer and DJ based in Brooklyn, NY. With a string of successful releases on labels such as Hope Recordings, Meanwhile Recordings, One Dot Six Two, and Mango Alley. Mike has established himself as a rising star in the electronic music scene. His first release, the "Pillars to Butterflies" EP, received widespread acclaim, with the standout track "Sumeria" becoming a highlight of Nick Warren's sets. Drawing inspiration from the sounds of New York City's legendary club scene, including venues like Twilo, Tunnel, and Sound Factory, Mike's music is a unique blend of high-energy beats, driving rhythms, and melodic synths. It's by no means a coincidence that Tim Engelhardt released his debut album on Steve Bug's Poker Flat label at the tender age of 17 years old. For his musical education began a full decade earlier, when he made his first encounter with classical music theory on the piano at home. Influenced by the musical leanings of his parents, with Mike Oldfield's compositions being particularly formative, Tim soon discovered the tracks of Cologne producer Robert Babicz, shifting his focus to computers and synthesizers as the primary means of production. In the midst of a diverse new generation of young producers who'd source their inspiration from a whole range of genres, Tim kicked off his career as he released his first vinyl EP at the age of 14. It's the combination of a deep-running music knowledge and an intuitive playfulness that Tim has been cultivating since then, expressing itself in a great love for harmony and expanding melodic structures, paired with an organic flow and atmospheric density. As a result, Tim's impressive output of the past years found a home on labels like Poker Flat, Cityfox, Watergate, Fryhide, Innervisions, Vivrant and, most recently, on Oliver Koletzki's Stil vor Talent, where his second album 'Idiosynkrasia' was released in 2020. His work in the studio is only one side of the coin, however, as Tim has been touring the globe extensively, playing dance floors at festivals and clubs in Australia, Africa, India, Europe and the US. Here, Tim found a home away from home in New York, where the renowned Cityfox awarded him with a permanent residency at the super-club Avant Gardner. His continuous presence in the Big Apple culminated in the musical contribution to the New York Timesbestseller project 'The Outlaw Ocean' by journalist Ian Urbina. During the touring drought of the pandemic and thanks to his tireless research in the studio, Tim was able to make a name for himself as a sound engineer, upgrading the mixdowns of other artists. Additionally he released numerous sample packs and software templates in 2021, aiding young artists in their own production quests. Tim Engelhardt's vision for the future: Art with personality – art that holds a piece of its creator at its heart. His mission is to translate the sounds in his head into reality as convincingly as possible. Which explains why Tim's productions don't really sound like the standard DJ fodder, as he delivers a well-rounded musical vision to the club floor, that is just as awe inspiring on the hi-fi system of your living room.

Bio:
URIGEAR is a DJ and producer from Barcelona.
He became interested in electronic music more than 10 years ago and has been immersed in various genres and artists since then. He has learned, matured, and evolved until he has consolidated a unique sound identity characterized by deep, melodic, and energetic sounds.
His productions and sessions fuse and explore multiple genres, with a focus on progressive, melodic, deep, and tech, offering great versatility for different environments. Combined with his ability to read the dance floor, this makes his sessions and sets a unique, emotional, and exclusive journey.
Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to perform in some of the most iconic and emblematic clubs in Barcelona and has signed his first tracks with renowned international labels such as Polyptych and  Interplay Records.

Mister Zeus is an international DJ and producer known for his versatility in sounds such as progressive, melodic, and groovy, having performed at major venues like Gasometer in Vienna, Pachá in Barcelona, and VIP Room in Paris. He won the regional championship in the NYDJAY contest in 2017 and was a finalist in the Miller Soundclash, as well as the national runner-up in the Master Tempo Competition. Since moving to Barcelona in 2016, he has worked with top artists like Sansixto, David Tort, and Albert Neve, and his productions have been released on labels such as Hotl Records, Polyptych, and Interplay. His sets have been played on radio stations worldwide, and he has shared the booth with DJs like Danny Ávila and Swanky Tunes.

Dave Leck – Live Set Vol. 2 | 60 Min of Original Progressive & Organic House

I'm back with the second instalment in my live set series—60 minutes of progressive and organic house music. The set showcases original material and  this time including my new remix of a  TOBO & Baksta track to be released later this year.

Rather than a traditional DJ mix of mastered tracks, I’ve designed a custom Ableton Live performance setup that blends DJing with live production. Using multiple channels with EQ, FX sends, live MIDI instruments, and a clip launcher, I can rearrange, remix, and build tracks on the fly, making each performance unique.
