Dub Techno Session | 057

Francesco Tamborrano is a DJ and a producer who I recognised recently via the nice ECOUL SND label from Nicolas Barnes (Riga, Latvia). So I was very pleased, when he offered  to do a guest mix for MLD! 👍🙏

He is a Venice based producer who focuses dub techno sounds with bass lines borrowed from techno and deep house to build a “melting Electronic”: sometimes hypnotic, sometimes raw, sometimes groovy. His first EP ‘Soft’ released earlier this year on ECOUL SND label ,he’s now working on follow up releases and some of the present and future tracks are played in this mix.

This is what he is personally saying about it:
"A mix podcast in my view is a personal challenge to achieve just one goal: mixing different tracks like a new and endless one. For this I tried to add hybrid sounds from different machines beyond the decks. Hoping you enjoy my flowing music trip."

As I like to add some extra Seabra Monkey sauce to my mixtapes to give it my own flavour, I have edited some tracks. 
The opening track is my own and is remixed for this mixtape to fit it better. 
The original version is set for release on February 12th 2024. 
The track is personal as Lia is a long lost relative that came back into my life recently. 
She is a big fan of what I do and to honor her I have created this track especially for her!

Seabra Monkey:
My love for music is divers. From Classical all the way to rock ‘n roll. I am originally a drummer and switched to producing when the DAWs came largely available. When House music emerged it was love at first sight and ever since has been a big influence in my musical aspirations. My love for Dub dates back to the time I was heavily into Reggae and Dub Reggae. The legendary rhythm section Robbie Shakespeare and Sly Dunbar taught me the way in what a solid rhythm section does for any kind of music in general. Its creates freedom for all other instruments involved. This freedom became more clear when I listened to Frank Zappa. He is my inspiration, a musical genius with a free spirit in improvising. He is the reason why creating edits of the tracks I use in my mixes, became part of my normal mixing routine. For me it’s all about creating a storyline from beginning till the end. Adding my own sauce is part of that process. Although my DJing skills comes from the days I was spinning the decks with vinyl, I consider myself today a producer. I love vinyl for it superb sound, but have to admit that the digital era gave me the tools and freedom to do what I love the most and that is producing Dub Techno. I feel the DUBBISM mixtape came out well and I do hope you all will like it too. If you do, pls hit me up on my socials. The inscription pulsed on the obsidian monolith, a mantra against the swirling void. I held the tuning fork, its cosmic hum countering the alien symphony. Each note vibrated through me, a fractal shattering of time. Days bled into centuries, and realities flickered like dying embers. Yet, the inscription remained a constant in the chaos.
Was it 30 years, 3 hours, 1 minute, and 3 seconds, or a mere 3 seconds stretched across an eternity? The distinction dissolved. I, a cosmic surfer on a wave of pure distortion, became one with the music of the spheres. When the final note resonated, a profound silence echoed. The inscription, now cold and inert, mocked the immensity of the journey: a lifetime or a heartbeat. The 30:03:01:03 remained a cryptic testament to an exhilarating and strangely melancholy journey, a yearning for a past that might have been a future or a future that echoed from a forgotten time.

Bio/
An electronic music collective from Siberia creates dub techno music. They strive to develop deep, atmospheric, minimalistic yet meaningful and intelligent music that reflects their mood, emotions, and surroundings. The guys also manage the Siberian dub techno label [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], which has produced more than 60 artists. The label also releases a series of dub techno podcasts, DUBBISM.
