About SaiBerlin:

I am personally shaped by my musical biography witch began in the 8oies as a teen with Postpunk and new wave and develloped further with Punkrock, Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno.
After the wall fell I spend many weekends at Berlin’s clubscene …it gave me the space to breeth as a young woman that I needed in that time..Clubs like the Maria am Ostbahnhof, Ostgut/Panoramabar, Tresor, Casino, Deli, Acud, Icon...had a big imprint on me ..and I am really glad to have experienced Berlin during the “Wendezeit” with this improvised and unperfect art oft beeing.
Reggae and Dancehall had also a special influence to me…that feels a little bit strange… cause this shubby shubby -catchy catchy ..it was a little bit too much positivity for me in the beginning….but I found my styles in that, especially with the ruff and heavy basslines of dub and raggamuffin.....

Nick’s passion for electronic dance music was sparked in his hometown of surfers paradise, Gold Coast after a night out to see Dimitri from Paris.

A shift to Melbourne further ignited his love for EDM, leading him to quickly purchase his own set of decks. Techno became his genre of choice in the early days of Djing, inspired by the likes of Jeff Mills and Derrick May. This was soon followed by a progressive influence from big names like James Zabiela, Nick Warren, Sasha and John Digweed.

Nick spent several years in London, frequenting clubs such as Fabric and Turnmills, and DJ’d at parties and local clubs/bars. Nick’s EDM genre of choice has mellowed over the years leaving behind those early days of techno for an organic and deep house vibe. Nick regularly spins tunes from All Day I Dream, Anjundeep, Shanti Moscow Radio, Melody of the Soul to name a few. Nick also plays back-to-back with fellow DJ Matt Saz, under the name Saznic. Nick has a current residency on the UK-based AATM Radio Show ‘Origins’ showcasing DJs from around the world who play organic, deep and melodic house. Nick recently supported one of his organic house idols ‘Double Touch’ at their debut Melbourne gig.

For the 61st episode of our podcast series, we have a special mix for you, recorded by the the very talented producer TENO from Osaka, Japan. 

TENO’s productions are a vibrant blend of resonating low frequencies and rhythmic grooves, anchored in a very minimal, straight and psychedelic techno; precisely modulating the sound until it merges with the body. His tracks, mostly crafted out of recordings from modular synths, have already seen releases from various labels in several countries. TENO is also one of the cofounders of the label @aumrecordings. 

Since this mix was live recorded at  the opening set of a night in @vent-tokyo, it begins with soothing, organic ambient sounds and gradually transitions to more energetic, percussive beats. This progression mirrors the increasing crowd and the vibrant energy on the dance floor, maintaining the club's immersive and dynamic live atmosphere throughout.

In the silence of the cosmos, a lone soundwave drifts. Echo, it whispers, a ghost of melodies unplayed.
What is a sound without ears to hear? A story untold, a thought unshared, drifting through the infinite. Yet, in its quiet journey, Echo embraces time's vast embrace, seeking connection among the stars.
It flutters through nebulae, brushing against dreams. The universe hums in response, a chorus of belonging.
In solitude, Echo learns that even the loneliest notes can harmonize amidst galactic echoes, creating a symphony of existence.

Bio/
Lonerist has been playing and creating music for 30 years. In the late '90s and 2000s, he DJ'ED all over Scotland and the UK. In the last 5 years, he has started producing and releasing his own material as Lonerist. he makes deep, dub, and Detroit techno, mostly self-released on Bandcamp, but in the last year, he has had an album released on Insectorama and EPs on Slope Point and Verdant Recordings. He regularly uploads mixes and tracks to his SoundCloud page and was delighted to be asked to contribute a mix for a well-respected channel like Madah Sounds.
