Recorded shortly after midnight in late June 2010. Mostly birds can be heard here. In the tree to the right is a Nightingale and in the field to the left is a Corn Crake (crex crex). In the distance are a few Cuckoo birds and the deep sound far off is a Eurasian Bittern (Botaurus stellaris). I prefer the Estonian name for this which is simply Hüüp, like its call. Recorded with a pair of AT4021s, a MicPre and R-09.

Based in Estonia and work as a program and technical coordinator for MoKS, a non-profit artist-run center.
