L’auteure-compositrice-interprète franco-ontarienne, Jessy Lindsay explore un indie-pop finement teinté de sonorités jazz pour en ressortir une musique libératrice. Son nouvel EP « J’explose » (octobre 2022) focus sur la perspective d’une jeune femme dans la société actuelle via l’exploration de thèmes comme la confiance en soi, la vocalisation d’opinions et la réclamation de soi. Singer/songwriter Jessy Lindsay explores an indie-pop style intertwined with jazz sonorities to create liberating music. Using catchy melodies coupled with honest lyrics, the young musician shares her truth. She discovered her passion for music during her youth after playing her grandparent’s upright piano. She made the most of every opportunity presented to her as a young artist, paving her path in the music industry. Participating in events such as, Camp en chanson de Petite-Vallée (2016), International Songwriting Competition (2016), Quand Ça Nous Chante (2016-2018), Jeux de la francophonie canadienne (2017), Jamais Trop Tôt (2017) and Rond Point (2020), has made her into the artist she is today. Balancing between city and country lifestyles has allowed Jessy to inspire herself with a captivating duality to offer us a refuge between the calm and chaos of her art. Her new French EP “J'explose” (October 2022) highlights her perspective as a young woman by exploring themes of self-confidence and reclaiming one’s self in a patriarchal society.
