Nehza Records shares its seventh release, Hybrid by Naarm-based artist Mabel out on June 23rd 2023 Melbourne's Mabel makes her Nehza Records debut with five tracks that blur the lines between psytrance, progressive house, breakbeat and tech house, culminating into one psychedelic trip.
‘Hybrid’will be available digitally for pre-order on May 26th, and released June 23rd The track « Lady Bug" will drop as a single on June 2nd 2023

Mabel is a rising talent from Naarm's vibrant electronic music scene, carving a signature sound in psychedelia, wrapped up in hard and fast rhythms and stamped with a femme touch. Inspired by minimal psytrance and progressive house elements, Mabel's back catalogue includes EPs and V/A contributions on The Space Between Us, Espace Noir, Daisy Records and many more. As a DJ, Mabel is established in her local scene, playing across Melbourne, including spaces 524 Flinders, Sub Club and The Gasometer Hotel. This summer, Mabel will make her London debut in Corsica Studios, DJing alongside Spray and Guy Contact for the city's fabled party, Origins.

The first release Teethbarer, is a four track EP (Extravaganza Party 🎈) that sets a loopy and energetic tone. DOG002 comes baring three repetitious delights. Drummy and danceable girl noise crafted from the hands of label owner, Mabel, for the second EP of Doglandiya. Twisted funk, psychedelic basslines, and hypnotic aural anecdotes weave the fabric of this release. Each sound sways into a trance, a lullaby to the conscious mind and a groove dealer to eager bodies. 

Girl Noise includes a rework of Dionysus, an unreleased track created at the start of 2023 and featured throughout sets of that year. Dionysus is the Greek god of ritual madness, religious ecstasy, wine, pleasure, and partying. An appropriate mascot for dance music. His appearances throughout Greek mythology represent the animalistic part of us that’s hungry for pleasure. He is an agent of catharsis.

Sin Alma blends the seductive production of Shygirl with SixSex-style pitched vocals that tease and tempt. It’s about that first time—the build-up, the daring glances, the pulse-racing “should we?” Quirky, horny, and in-your-face, the track builds like a fantasy spinning out of control.
