Tools Of Tomorrow - 1996

Born in 1981 and raised near Magdeburg.
At just 14, he sneaked into his first raves with friends.
This also marked the beginning of his passionate record collection. Influenced by acid house and techno, he absorbed everything he could get his hands on.

Influenced by the old school... greats like Huckaby, Baxter, Pooley, Sneak, and Hood... have strongly influenced his penchant for a colorful mix of groove, soul, and underground.
This is precisely what you can feel in his tracks and sets.
In 2019, Janter founded the small digital label "wir hören records"
and in 2024, his small street and clubwear brand
"janter and friends" was added.

I always seem to be working on something musical, this is where the best results of ongoing experiments work their way out into the world.

Until the next phase is through, this will be an incubator only.

So there's all kinds of stuff on this page, but after months of schizophrenic debates about who was playing with who and who took the lead while doing it, finally, the decision was made: all my alter egos got together and decided to form a band. From 2020 on new tracks are created under the moniker Gruppo Infernal. Only pure MMTJ tracks will still be named as such. 

Gruppo Infernal still relies on my work as Me, my Thumb and Jack, an ongoing quest for a liberating approach to sound creation where the human body acts as an oscillator amplifying the natural 50hz hum. Direct live recording, improvisations and delay loops only using analog filters and effects. No editing, no overdubs. Gruppo Infernal adds digital treatment to this original sound material. 

UnterPitch was an alter ego using samples & synths.
Bleached Coffins was a one-off project using guitars.
