THE VELVET ROOM is the third pillar of the Noire-Garage movement. While "Neon Ghost" defined the mystery and "Chrome Street" defined the industrial grit, The Velvet Room explores the "Velvet" side of the CULTURAMA technical framework.

This is the sound of the high-stakes underground. It is the lounge at the end of the world.

ALPHA PHASE TRANSMISSION:
This is the 3rd of 4 foundational tracks being released exclusively to our SoundCloud community. This "Alpha Phase" is the final calibration before the Noire-Garage movement expands to all global platforms (Apple Music, Beatport, Spotify, Amazon).

The Texture: Lush, "Ghost" pads layered over an aggressively clean, syncopated 2-step engine.

Plain Seeing

A new master piece is coming on Macadam Mambo, presenting two young guys from the « Lyon » scene where the label is based, called The Pilotwings. They were instantly noticed last year with their smashing first EP « Agorespace » released on the young BFDM imprint, creating the buzz with strong break tracks in a super fresh spirit.
This time they’ve let all their great inspiration take over, to deliver a strong piece of « Chicago » oriented House with tribal and japanese influences, the 707 is never too far, and a sexy male voice brings you into the moist backroom of this club named « Boxboys ». Essential must have !

The synth-heavy house pair, synonymous with the BFDM label channel their digi synth euphoria into trance not trance and acid atmospheres across a four track EP. 

From the subtle breaks and pan flute/acid combo of Trance En Aubrac, steady synth flutter of Future Glouglou to the full tilt restless psychedelia of Yakado and cinematic acid stepping Gig in the Ocean, 

The Pilotwings once again showcase their tongue in cheek nods to the past with production launching into the future.

B1 takes a drastic turn to the other spectrum of Taipei underground.  Up & coming local talent Lujiachi sucks you to the dim light of Taipei darkness, night-crawling the way with Industrial drum pattern, spooky East Asian horn and swaggy bassline that's as unpredictable and addictive as there is.
