Salamanda believes every sound has beauty, and they love to collect & create music from original field recordings from the world around them.

Sharing their love for minimal, ambient, and many other genres, Salamanda have been busy presenting their own unique dreamy and humid tracks via Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Instagram and many other platforms, and we're super excited to now showcase their work to all.

'Allez' is a story about a bird that flew out from a cage...beginning its journey early in the morning on Side A and embracing freedom, flying onwards into the night on Side B.

With “Maisons Anciennes”, La Punta Bianca is reversing the time, walking backward into some old shack and discovering as new some old holes left and scattered into the walls. With closed eyes, the hands are following the red wire of the time, fully alive the times of this glorious ballad.

The tenth instalment of Clergy sees host to the second collaborative project between lifelong friends Jorden Hodgetts and Sam Coates (Cleric and Setaoc Mass) split over two discs. The first disc presents three driving rhythmic orientated tools, 'Odyssey', 'Isolation' and 'Centre of the Cyclone', which are sculpted flawlessly for the dance-floor. You can see a continuous theme surrounding the release, the exploration of escapism is perfectly introduced by a foreboding message courtesy of John C. Lily: "Be in the present..."

The second disc progresses as a means to go on, with the sonic emphasis moving more towards tone and melody. The sweeping pads of 'Madame Butterfly' and the sinister strings of 'subconscious life' give the songs a feeling of satisfying unease, while the electro-twinged melody of '188' evokes emotion from start to finish. Last on the EP is 'Exploration X', an ambient voyage which beautifully rounds off the record. CRG010 will also end the second series of releases on Clergy, starting a new look and bringing in a new photographer for the next series.

It’s a great joy to host our long time friend and collaborator, Theo Delaunay aka Panoptique aka Constance Chlore, to release his first solo album on Macadam Mambo. Head of the Simple Music Experience label (dedicated to release punk experiment on tape), member of Violent Quand On Aime, Succhiamo, Simplists, Ono Omen and United Assholes, he had previously been part of the “Danzas Electricas” volumes 1 and 3, released a little single in 2019 and curated the “Simple Music Experience Vol.2” compilation in the house. 

Panoptique sticks to what he knows to do the best, to present his stories, singing spoken words, gogolitos deliriums, whispers and rough voices on Minimal Synth Wave ballads or Drexciyan’s Electro bangers. It’s brut, mental, sometimes brutal and so so groovy in the meanwhile. 
Special mention to his guest : Fiesta En El Vacio, for her ‘caliente’ featuring on “Menta Y Regaliz”.

Bristol based DJ, club promoter and producer,
Chez de Milo, readies his debut release, and
Futureboogie’s first release of 2021, with the ‘Bushwa’ EP.
Smagghe & Cross (AKA Ivan Smagghe and Rupert
Cross) join the party with an epic Version of the title track.

On ‘Bushwa’, warming CR-78 drums initiate a bubbling
blend of groaning pads, melodic keys and gated vocals as
Chez de Milo crafts a solemn yet addictive 5am moment.
Smagghe & Cross stretch things out over ten minutes with
their tantalising Version of ‘Bushwa’ that quite literally
features a commercial break midway before motoring back
up to chugging speed. Cosmically charged this most
definitely is!

Elsewhere on this prolific debut release, ‘Mantella’ features
a smorgasbord of spacey riffs, splashy drums and
idiosyncratic vocals, whilst ‘Golden Ratio’ wraps things up
with an esoteric piece of bleepy, ambient house that is
designed to feed your mind as much as for your feet.

Three years in the making only to be held up almost another year due to COVID, finally now seeing the light of day is this brooding monster of an EP by Brussels based Strapontin, aka multi-disciplinary artist Patrick Belmont.

Clocking in at over 35-minutes the record is almost album length and spans a multitude of depths and moods with elements of techno, new wave, rock 'n' roll, house and tribal... all glued together with a sleazy atmosphere reminiscent of the electronic body music pioneered by Strapontin’s Belgian forefathers Front 242 and their German peers DAF.

Add to this a heads-down-no-nonsense darkroom beast of a remix by techno maestro Sascha Funke and the package is complete.

At Chromatic we are pleased to present the track "Le Bain D'huile", by Strapontin, the latest work from the Invisible, Inc. The track is as captivating as it is forceful, with the perfect amount of substance, it is presented with a powerful style that ranges from classic to cutting edge. Enjoy!

The first release on @jugaar-records is from @rudoh himself and brings together five slabs of electro-breaks architecture primed equally for the dance-floor and headphones - including a remix from Australia-based, Salt Mines Records honcho, Shedbug.

Opener, ‘Djemo’ is a wiggly, sub-driven excursion that expands into sunkissed coastal pads. A2, ‘Van Turbo’ is a punchy peak time weapon with a catchy vocal snippet that gives way to a spacey synth journey.

On the B-side ‘I Feel U’ is a more melodic offering as snaking arpeggios wrap around Japanese vocals. With ‘All is Holy’ Rudoh’s time spent in the UK can be seen as the ghostly spirit of the rave shines through the chilly break-laden, pad work. Finally, Shedbug’s remix of ‘Van Turbo’ juxtaposes crafty vocal loops with pulsing synth lines bringing the EP to close with a mesmeric crescendo.
