Description:
Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. On the album "Feuerfalter" this individuality is turned on. Brejcha even picks up the desire of his ans to weave a few quieter tracks into his cosmos.

The former offers a tasty club friendly version where as the latter brightens the overall feel. Completing the proceedings is Sunn Jellie, a rising Ukrainian artist with an accomplished progressive sound.

The original ‘Northern Lights’ by DJ Mag world no.7 Gareth Emery was one of dance music’s hottest debut albums of 2010, hitting no.1 in the US iTunes Dance chart within hours of release and featuring ‘Sanctuary’, the undisputed trance anthem of the summer.

Now the album returns with a new twist: ‘Northern Lights Re-Lit’, where Gareth has handpicked a selection of his favourite producers to remix all twelve tracks from the album.

After a very limited promotional mail-out, support from A-list DJs has already been overwhelming, helping generate a massive buzz around the release from industry and fans alike. Tiesto’s already well behind the stunning remix of the Jerome Isma-Ae collaboration ‘Stars’ by Dutch house master Hardwell, Armin van Buuren is all over both the John O’Callaghan remix of ‘Too Dark Tonight’ and the Jorn van Deynhoven remix of ‘All Is Now’, whereas Above & Beyond and Markus Schulz have been championing Ashley Wallbridge’s epic progressive house remix of ‘Arrival’.

To further the celebrations, release parties for the album will be taking place across the world, including a 7-hour set from Gareth at Sankeys in Manchester on the day of release (sold out five weeks in advance), plus Dream in Miami during Ultra Week and the third Northern Lights Concert in Los Angles in April.

In short, it’s set to be another groundbreaking release from Gareth Emery on his label Garuda, further cementing it’s reputation as one of the most forward thinking boutique labels around.

‘Northern Lights Re-Lit’ will be available on CD and digital download from 18th March 2011. Both CD and digital editions will feature a seamlessly blended DJ mix, whilst the digital edition will also include individual versions of every track on the album.

Maltese duo Tenishia collaborates with singer/songwriter and DJ/producer Jonathan Mendelsohn on this brand new track 'A New Dream', resulting in an amazing track in which Jonathan's heartfelt vocals are truly done justice.

Tenishia is one of the most successful DJ/producer duos in the world, selling out arena shows, appearing on television and winning many awards. They even hold their own Tenishia Live events. The two members, Joven and Cyprian, met through mutual friends and started DJ-ing together in 2004. In the year of 2005 they already signed their first production with Armada and after that they kept scoring hit song after hit song. Hard driven and full of determination, the guys keep pushing their way through the road of success, working from their state of the art studio in Malta, producing, organizing their own Tenishia Live events and also establishing their own production school to help out new talents. Tenishia travel the world with their music, taking the adventure to their fans in various countries. According to DJ Mag in 2012, Tenishia have put Malta on the dance music map and will continue to do so.

Jonathan Mendelsohn is a force to be reckoned with as he is not only a great singer/songwriter but also produces his own tracks and remixes for others. For him both aspects go hand in hand, as he says himself: "When I got into remixing and producing dance music, it satisfied not only the need to be creative, but it was an exploration in the technical side of music creation. I was always fascinated by the arrangements and layering in electronic dance music. Recording and producing for me is really just as important to me as singing and writing songs. They go hand in hand really and I couldn't imagine doing one and not the other."
To this day he has collaborated with people such as Dash Berlin, Brennan Heart, Orjan Nilsen, Laidback Luke, Nic Chagall, David Morales and many more. He is working on his first solo album, while performing in clubs and on festivals all over the world.

After four years away, 16 Bit Lolitas, the duo behind Anjunadeep classics like “Nobody Seems To Care” and “Murder Weapon" return to the label with the Beat Organ EP. Featuring three tracks harnessing the atmospheric, emotive sound they made their names with, the Beat Organ EP sees Ariaan and Peter bring a refined, contemporary edge to proceedings.

Title track “Beat Organ” builds subtly before melodic stabs make way for an insistent bassline groove. Tripped out soundscapes rise and rise in an almost euphoric breakdown, eventually unfolding back into the huge, bouncing bassline.

“From Far Away” takes a more restrained approach, ebbing and flowing for almost ten minutes in what is a genuine epic. Combining many of the hallmark elements of progressive house at its peak, with the current wave of melodic deep house, “From Far Away” is a hypnotic ride through dark, moody melodies and delicate sonic textures, culminating in an anthemic final breakdown.

Rounding off the EP in energetic fashion is “Friendly Neighbour”, built around another rolling bass heavy groove, brought together with rich melodies, interlocking textures and warm, feel-good atmospherics. All in all, the Beat Organ EP is an assured comeback, and a prime example of the progressive revival slowly beginning to take shape on dancefloors across Europe.

Silk Royal is thrilled to present Silk Remixed 04, the fourth installment of the annual series, featuring various veteran talents and rising stars in progressive. Kicking off the compilation is Nigel Good's jubilant remix of "Sumr" by Dezza & Shoreliners. Fresh off his debut artist album, which reached #1 overall on Beatport, Nigel treats us to a sparkling, complextro-influenced progressive gem, rife with feel-good vibes. Vintage & Morelli, one of the standout artists from Silk's Arrival division, offers a fresh, peak-hour take on "Night Time" by Sound Quelle. A bouncy house rhythm sits below a stormy and evocative lead, punctuated by a haunting vocal sample. The main break is a goosebumps-inducing aural experience, as the vocal motif and piano poignantly coalesce. Aeron Aether's "Synthanelia" still finds a home in our radio and live sets; Jayeson Andel, a breakthrough artist on our imprint, offers a full-on trance stormer with his new rendering, which has received early radio support from Arty. The memorable string themes of the original soar above an adrenalin-fueled, stadium-rocking groove. French talent Matt Fax, another leader of Arrival, offers a new interpretation of one of Silk Royal's early releases, Pconvolve's "Cosmology". As the title implies, celestially-inspired synths transport the listener to the far reaches of the galaxy; a progressive breaks interlude and explosive drop in the latter half of the track are true release highlights. David Broaders closes out the first half of the release with an awe-inspiring interpretation of "Starman" by Gregory Esayan. A thunderous groove resolves into a beautiful piano and string-themed breakdown; these poignant melodies are some of the most enduring from the compilation this year.

New label recruit Illuminor, a rising duo from Australia, add a bit more punch to eleven.five's classic "Pinnacle". A highly innovative groove, as well as new variations on the main piano motif from the original, stand out in this fantastic new version. Trusty label veteran Sundriver offers a driving take on Denis Laurent feat. Kaisa Martina's "All I Need". A vintage lead chord progression, with numerous euphoric synth layers and arpeggios, paves the way for Kaisa's romantic vocal in the breakdown. British sensation Ben Coda, who has contributed in the past to the Silk Remixed series, returns with a peak-hour rendering of Zack Roth's beloved "Tekkadon". A clubby groove crescendoes into the breakdown, where the newly added, trance-influenced lead shines, alongside the memorable original theme. Russian duo Soarsweep, fresh off an EP on parent label Silk Digital, offers another visionary remix; this time, they have accentuated the emotive themes of "Both", originally a collaboration between Blood Groove & Kikis and LTN. Closing out the EP, Harold-Alexis, one of the stars of our chillout division (Silk Sofa), offers a drum & bass rework of Seagrave's "Storm". With bleeding-edge sound design throughout, this emotive track will be appreciated by fans in search of visionary, outside-of-the-box EDM.
