South Pole - Wake (Original Mix) [Group Therapy 122 with Above & Beyond]

April is PD's First Year Anniversary month and for our 51st release, 
we are releasing the EP for the winning remixers for Dinka &
Morttagua's, 'In Caelo' remix compettion which was held last year.

As a bonus we are also adding LTN's deep house version remix 
which will be available as a free download for everyone.


Cullen Remix:

Cullen's progressive breaks remix of the more upbeat original. 
Using ambient soundscapes Cullen has created a cool to the touch, 
chilled out version.

Sunny Terrace Remix:

Sunny Terrace has taken a much more upbeat approach to his remix 
by implementing the use of euphoric arpeggio's to accent the already 
uplifting chord progression. Sunny Terrace has staked his remix as a 
commendable remix.

Bee Hunter Remix:

This faster paced remix is chock full of soft hitting pads that hit 
perfectly over the groovy bass line and drum pattern. Bee Hunter is 
known for adding small sound accents to top off the crest of sound waves, 
and you'll find those here as well.

Silencyde Remix:

    
Silencyde went to the realm of chill step with his version. A half stepped 
drum pattern takes on ambient tones with an almost theatrical like 
presentation in this slower than the rest remix of In Caelo.

Static Bloom Remix:

Static Bloom, brings us back to the progressive house territory in which 
the original resides. Acoustic guitars pick playfully over warm piano chords 
while bongo drums are slapped and complemented by techno infused leads.

Twelve Remix:

Last of the bunch is Twelve, whose use of orchestral elements like the piano 
add a sense of alertness to the remix, while the intense synths balance out 
the soft sound of the string instruments.

Just over 1 year ago, Silk Royal launched "Nothing Out Here", the debut artist album by Canadian phenom Nigel Good. Supported by a variety of leading international artists and reaching #1 overall on Beatport, the release proved to be an unforgettable experience for our imprint. The title cut from Nigel's acclaimed album has now been gloriously remixed by two esteemed electronic music veterans in their own right: Silence Groove (Poland) and Embliss (Netherlands).

Silence Groove, perhaps best known for his contributions to drum & bass, is a recent label recruit, having remixed Schodt's "Darkness Into Light". His take begins on firm footing with a strong progressive house groove, followed by the very welcome arrival of the main theme from the original mix. Silence Groove then backs these themes with a reworked chord progression, as well as a variety of fluttering and ethereal side melodies. However, the highlight of his remix does not occur until the break, when the groove suddenly shifts to a breathtaking progressive breaks interlude. The chords are again reworked in this section, to euphoric effect.

Embliss has been a dear friend of our imprint since our earliest days, so it's with special joy that we present his remix of "Nothing Out Here", featured already (in mixed form) on our recent "Only Silk 03" compilation. As the track commences, fans of the Dutch virtuoso will immediately recognize the beautifully mixed, full-bodied bassline, which immediately establishes his take in deep terrain. A top layer to the bass is then added, while a variety of atmospheric flourishes coalesce with stunning piano themes. Poignant synths and heavenly vocal stabs emerge near the climactic main break, which teases the full theme from the original mix. As the drop cathartically re-centers the track in cavernous territory, the listener can only conclude that Embliss' latest production is another masterclass effort from a unique voice in electronic music.

Being a hot number on the scene over the past years, we feel privileged to welcome back Italy's finest when it comes melodic progressive music as Richard Bass yet again returns to our PHW division. With a string of release on the label, gaining support from leading names in the business, we of course welcome him back with his new baby “See Beyond”. 

As always you are to be in for a treat, as he goes in full flare with his trademark uplifting melodic arrangements and fresh pumping summer vibes. It’s always a great blend from him, that definitely is to take you places and remind you of the summer sunsets and lazy days on the beach.

We also see the return of Poland based producer Bee Hunter, a producer that has been with us many times over the years as he deliver the first out of the two remixes on this release. It’s as vibrant and relaxing as always from Bee Hunter, focusing on clear soundscapes, dreamy melodic arrangements and that fresh touch he always keeps on his music. It’s another stunning one from him! 

Last but not least we see another familiar producer on the label, as Greek producer Fiben once again delivers on remix duty. He’s spoilt us on many releases with his skilled piece of music, and here is another one keeping the fresh summer vibes alive. He goes slightly deeper and more relaxing than before but the depth and blend of melodies kept on the track makes this another sensation from the Greece bound producer. We are always happy to see him join back on the label with his well selected renditions.

Norwegian producer Astrevea returns to our imprint with a spectacular balearic progressive EP.

Astrevea welcomes listeners to an audible journey to the “Maldives.” Although located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean, the Balearic experience is no less celebrated on this equatorially balmy island. Beautiful arpeggiated chords and punchy grooves along the catchphrase side chain of a bassline will easily resonate within. “6 A.M.” continues the after party in the sweltering morning of the previous night’s outer experience in the Maldives. The chord progression and compositional arrangement gives Astrevea merit in his skill in music production.
