Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

FRUCHT already showed big taste for yummmii music. There is

no real focus on a special genre - there is only a critical eye on

the quality of the minimalistic sounds.

This VA shows some heavy techno that will hypnotise the floor.

We collected some uprising and international well known artists

to show how deep techno can be. Smooth Intro comes by Annos

Woland from Tel Aviv and is followed by collab of Coeter One and

As We Said (Numbolic).

After the warmup we introduce our minimal fans to smart techno

by Niereich (Gynoid), Cortechs (Elektrax), Reagen (Monocline) and

Stefano Infusino (Plastiq). Alejandro Trebor (Android) and Ben Koe-

chlin (Tanzfactory) delivered abstract cleverness and we are soooo

proud to introduce our Berlin friend M_Ray that is into technosound

since a decade and now will have his huge debut. More of his heavy

Berghain sound will be released soon - of course on FRUCHT. :D

We here at Second State are thrilled to bring you our new concept entitled HUB. While most labels these days are doing various artists releases to showcase the overall talent on their label, we thought it would be better suited for both our listeners and ourselves to break the mold and bring you a series of true collaborations. Each HUB release will feature a single artist teaming up with others from the Second State family to create an EP of authentic musical compromises. A place where multiple minds find a harmony somewhere outside their own identity and each collaboration conceives a genuinely unique artifact. With this, there is no one we would rather have kick off the series than the man behind the massive EPs; 'Throwl' and 'Doch', Stephan Hinz with HUB One!

Second track of the EP is Next is 'Hak' with Philipp Ruhmhardt. Together they have already made waves with their tune, 'Doch' becoming an anthem almost immediately since it's release last May. This time they are back with a stormer that feels like racing through a metropolis at warp speed. Each chord stab is a quick, bright flash of color as the shakers and hi hats impersonate the rapid pulse of a speedometer. 'Hak' is a white knuckle ride.

As we could see In "Formen EP", the most important elements of the structure are decentralized thus allowing a new space to organically develop unsuspected impressions and unpredictable arrangements.
