The name “Yami” is inspired by the iconic character from Yu-Gi-Oh! and the deeper meaning in Japanese, where it signifies both “darkness” and the balance between light and dark. For Yami, this name embodies the duality of life — the contrast between shadows and light, struggle and joy. His music reflects this balance, blending deep, soulful elements with uplifting, energizing beats.

What started as a hobby has become Yami’s mission: to inspire movement and connection through music. Every track is a reflection of his love for dancing, designed to ignite a spark on the dance floor and bring people together in the rhythm of life.

Im Jahr 2016 wurde das Techno feiern allein zu wenig und er entschied sich dazu selbst hinter die Decks zu treten .
Oberhalb der 140 BPM ist heute seine Wohlfühlzone und man sagt über seinen Sound  er ist ,

                     Unsortiert aber Taktvoll, wirr aber brachial.

Am 5 .7.2019 kam es dann zum Höhepunkt und Reggie durfte das Opening bei der noch jungen Kölner Partyreihe Acidscrapers Dark Love spielen.
Bei den Acidscrapers hat er sich einen Platz im Team der Resident DJ  erspielt.
