As Dim Fumes, bass duo Thrived and score composer No Bloom Now come together to create an exquisite blend of club sound and pop-influenced storytelling.
With numerous releases on Voitax, Club Qu and others, Thrived have proven their ability to produce fresh yet seasoned tunes, making them an integral part of Berlin's underground scene for years. No Bloom Now's work as a composer for film, theatre and games over the past few years has given him experience in writing strong themes and emotionally complex melodies.

As a band, Dim Fumes bring together the vocal points of both projects to create danceable, melancholic melodies full of euphoria. No Bloom Now's intimate vocals take centre stage,
Thrived's dense drum aesthetic builds the fundament in which the three create a melange best described as ambient bass-pop.

Their very first single, Bright Spots, can be seen as a North Star for the sonic direction the three are heading. The gnarled yet clear drum work and angelic lead vocal feel like they are embedded in a sea of lush, warm pads and atmospheres, pulling you into deep excitement. The grip and pull of this poppy but underground track won't let you go until the very end, leaving you wanting to dive right back in. With bright spots, the trio prove their ability to grab attention in private, club and/or festival contexts, presenting a combination we'll hopefully see out and about soon. Keep an eye out: Dim Fumes!

Following on from high profile remixes for labels such as Shogun, Ram Records and Owsla, Dubstep man of the moment, Culprate lends his talents to the EP. Building this mix from the ground up, his innovative and unique take on the track really sets it apart from the rest. Transposing the vocals and including his trademark glitchy style. This mix is something to behold and is worthy of any listener's time.

We’ve been working on FKOFv005 for what feels like years. It started as a solo outing for one of our longest-serving FKOF fam members, it then morphed into a b2b remix release, it then went back to somewhere in-between...

Our next record release features FKOF fam (from way back on FKOFd002) @subreachers and @congi-music (for the first time ever on FKOF Records). 

The release is available for pre-order this Friday, 5th March 2021, to celebrate our 11th birthday. It drops a little earlier than expected (due to a few production/ logistics issues) for pre-order – we won’t be able to start shipping until May – but you’ll also be able to pre-order from our friends at Unearthed Sounds from Friday 19th March.

“Our latest physical release paints an epic picture, one defined by broad strokes that demonstrate the diverse range of sounds that Matt at Subreachers is capable of creating. We start with ‘Ceres’. It’s an articulated vibe, one that jitters across a low-key but supportive sub. It’s a groove you need to experience to fully understand. Next up, ‘Zaytoven’ steps up on the A2 with a slightly steppier take on the Subreachers sound. This one’s all dub sirens and punchy percussion, a meditative roller that’s built for the big sound and dark rooms. 

“We take an even deeper dive into things with the B-side. ‘Captain Future’ is a sumptuous tune, there’s not much else to say. It evokes a pleasant memory, of time well spent with good people doing nice things. Atmospheres for days.
