Machinist mainstay Hyperfocus kicks off 2025 with a new high-water mark. This two-tracker demonstrates an elevated level of musicality, paired with a rare skill prized at the label: combining deep cinematics with devastating rhythmic elements.

"Crystalized" entices the subconscious with luxurious, immersive atmospheres, only to reveal a sinister side. The intro gives way to a breakbeat tearout number that references classic Metalheadz and No U-Turn records while remaining uniquely specific to Hyperfocus. Crystalized is both fierce and haunting in equal measure.

"Null Point" enters the fray with a jagged edge — tight, like a machine pushed beyond its limit. The synths slice through the air, sterile and sharp, like a cold blade. Aggressive yet calculated, it embodies a kind of mechanical chaos. Another entry carved into the slate tablet of classic techstep.

Machinist Music Forty-Five demonstrates proprietary technology in advancing the techstep micro-genre. Hyperfocus leads the charge in bringing our favorite 1995 flavors to 2025. His sound is both uniquely his and universally recognizable — a rarity for an artist this early in his journey.
