[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] proudly and eagerly presents its 80th release. NAVAD – Liquid Dance EP.
Where the desert air meets the breath of the Mediterranean Sea, the sound of NAVAD (@navadnomad) is born. His Liquid Dance EP is the alchemy of waves and rhythms, forged into four crystals and refracted through five mirrors.

The originals sound like incantations:
::: Liquid Dance — the primordial element, the flow, the dance of water itself, shifting its form but never its essence.
::: Cold Waters — a descent into depths, where cold is not about fear but clarity, each strike like a drop falling into the well of memory.
::: Crickets — the whisper of the night transformed into rhythm; a choir of invisible conductors of the fields, translating nature into the language of electronics.
::: Spikes — crystals of light, the sharp edge of sound piercing through space.

But where there is a core, reflections are always born. And here enter the alchemists of remix:
::: emesh (@music_ams)  softens the sharpness of Spikes, turning them into liquid metal.
::: Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube & @x_fr) creates Crickets (Gryllus Campestris Revise) — a delicate transcription in the language of earth and grass, like an ancient manuscript unearthed in a dusty library.
::: Mike Bentley (@mikebentleyprog)  breathes urban dynamism into Crickets, turning them into the nervous glow of neon streets.
::: K-Joshua (@dj-joshua)  freezes Cold Waters into a block of ice, resonating with echoes of deep strikes.
::: Substak (@substak)  dissolves Liquid Dance into the ether, leaving only a misty echo that seems to move on its own.

Liquid Dance EP is not just a collection of tracks. It is an aquarium of sounds, where each form of life flows into another, where liquid becomes dance, the insect becomes rhythm, and water becomes the code of memory. The milestone 80th release of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] is not just a number. It is a signal — a gateway leading to the place where sound becomes form, and form becomes breath. NAVAD opens it. All that remains is to step through.

And because I got so much heartwarming feedback for my first mixtape in this style "Immer Irgendwann #4 by Julian Falk", which now reached nearly 30k clicks, I put together another story to guide you through these cold and dark winter days.

Thanks to Lafede for inspiring me to choose "Follow The Light" as the title. For me it tells what we probably all should do, especially in these days.

Five years ago we happily released our first guest in the IST podcast series, it was one of our favorite DJs/producers: Maco Maltauro. Hailing from Itanhandu (Brazil's countryside), in his youth he used to play sounds on the class break after recording radio music onto tapes and creating his first playlists. It didn't take long for Maco to become a DJ and his career really took off around 2013, already completely enraptured by music at which point his hobby transformed into a profession and way of life. Standing out with a reverberating and nutty “brazility”, specifically never stuck to any style. During his formative years as a DJ, Maco fell for the hypnotic grooves of disco, feeding his soul through electro, soul and funk rhythms. So, The groovy element of all those genres continues to permeate into the music he plays and makes today.

With its 82 minutes, this 189th edition showcases the tremendous depths of musical knowledge and diversity within Maco's work. Queer-ish, frenzied, multicultural, with his research and technique he rescues tracks lost in time aligned to original electronic beats. At this time, the Brazilian DJ took intuitive inspiration instead of a rational one. Then, guided by the heat waves and warm nights announcing that 'the summer is coming', possibilities and paths of expression, working to draw the listener in.
