The Hardcore Wednesdays formed around the tail end of 2008.

We had originally set out with little experience playing our instruments. Only jamming away with 4 acoustics. Our lyricist Hardcore Kenny would pen the lyrics.

We have since formed into a proper band with one of the guitarists picking up the drums and the other picking up the bass.

We came up with our name by combining the name of our lyricist “Hardcore Kenny” and the day we practice on “Wednesdays”, and that’s how we got “Hardcore Wednesdays”.

We have only been properly gigging since August 09 and have played in such venues as King Tut’s and The Doghouse. So far we have supported bands like: The Vortex, Luva Anna, Ray Summers, The Troubadours, Chris Helme and Tom Gray from Gomez.
