Januarimpression No. 1

An improvisation with the intention to set one of my favourite winter poems from german poet Vera Hewener to music:



Wintermärchen

Dort, wo sich das Licht trifft,
 auf dem Blauweiß der Zweige,
 auf dem Schneefeld,
 das Besucher nicht kennt,
 auf der Eiszone,
 die ein Gebirgsbach durchmisst,
 in den Kältenebeln des Morgens,
 schwindelt in meinen Augen
 das Märchen, das man Winter nennt.

 Es flüstern Kristalle,
 klirren Tannenzapfen,
 stöhnt Gebälk unter der Eistracht,
 eine Sinfonie aus Weiß.

Mondenschein im Winternachtsblau (PIANO CLOUD's "Winter Landscapes Challenge" 2014)

Lovely snowdrops in the garden... Imagine, how it would sound, if the little flowers could create some music... :)
I tried and this piece came up, when I was improvising on my piano. I added some strings and here it is... 
The german title means "Snowdrops whispering in evening snow"

"Novemberzauber" is a dreamy and melancholic piano piece.
This track is my contribution to the "FOUR CHORD CHALLENGE" from The Piano Cloud. 
It was big fun to create a piece with only the four chords G minor, D minor, Eb major and F major (in that order).

Every year in december I get this warm and good feeling of joy and I am really touched by the cosy atmosphere when I have  cheerful moments with my family...
