Born and raised in Potsdam, Photom got very early in touch with Techno, which is still a big influence on his productions. After entering the first Dubstep night organized by some locals, he fell in love with Bassmusic.

While organizing events in Potsdam and Berlin with the Valian Kollektiv, he was introduced to music production and since then, he has been hooked.

Qilin's artistic journey began in Peoria, Illinois, where he was born, and continued in Canton, Illinois, where he was raised. Now based in Denver, Colorado, Qilin brings 16 years of experience in the bass music world. His passion for the genre ignited at 16 when he started DJing beats. 
This passion evolved into production at 21. Deeply influenced by the original sounds of dubstep, dub, roots, and hip-hop, Qilin curates a unique sound that is showcased in his work.
