I Get Mine

"Hyun," meaning "to brighten," is a part of my name that was dropped when I immigrated to America, not by my choice, but at the urging of my mother and school. It was deemed too difficult for non-Koreans to pronounce. While I hold no resentment, I chose to reclaim this part of myself by naming this album "Hyun Beat Tape." I embraced being unapologetically myself, writing, mixing, and mastering every track solo, with no features or co-producers. While I deeply cherish collaborating with other artists, this project is a testament to my growth as a self-taught DJ, producer, and engineer.

Enjoy these open instrumental beats however you like—whether for cyphers, workouts, drives, or as soundtracks to your content. If you'd like to lease any for commercial use or make remixes, feel free to reach out.
