Four Candles - Live @ La Biblioteca, Buenos Aires (18 Apr 25)

By the early 2000s, when much of the electronic world was chasing trance highs and vocal hooks, Moshic Shlomi—known mononymously as Moshic—was charting a darker path. His take on progressive house was not just brooding; it was cinematic, steeped in tension, mood, and layered melancholy.

Releasing early work as Argonout, Moshic made his mark with tracks on Cyber Records and appearances on compilations from Global Underground to In Search of Sunrise, showcasing a sound both atmospheric and emotionally rich. Now leading his own label, Contrast, he continues to explore the space between light and shadow, with recent productions finding a home on imprints like Bedrock and Bonzai Progressive.

His Balance Selections mix delivers on the promise of the label’s name: a carefully curated journey of contrasts that never loses its introspective core. Featuring tracks from N-TCHBL, Stereo Underground, and Moshic himself, the mix isn’t afraid to drift into the melancholic edges of progressive house.

Paula OS is a Chilean-born, Argentina-based producer, singer, and DJ crafting atmospherically rich electronica influenced by acts like Radiohead, Portishead, and Björk. She launched her solo live project in 2017—dreamy vocals with hypnotic textures—which eventually led to a collaboration with Hernán Cattáneo and Soundexile on Renaissance: the alluring ‘Harvest’ EP. Earlier this year, she founded her own label, Sopor Music, kicking things off with ‘Image’, a solo six-track album coded with electronica and emotional hues.

On this Balance Selections mix, Paula OS delivers a dynamic take on progressive, filled with cerebral moments and pure dancefloor diesel. Featuring tracks from Stimming, Analog Jungs, Stereo Underground & D-Nox, this tightly programmed session shows she's transmitting a unique frequency that's becoming increasingly hard to ignore.

Roger Martinez is a distinctive voice in electronic music, known for deep, progressive trance-influenced DJ sets and detailed productions. Shaped by Amsterdam’s club scene in the late ’90s and early 2000s,  his long-form sets often move across genres, using 4-deck mixing to build cohesive, evolving journeys.

With releases from Lost & Found to Sudbeat and Plattenbank, Martinez continues to explore subtle textures and rhythmic depth, an intention you can hear clearly on his own Higher States imprint.

On this Balance Selections mix, Martinez flexes with an impressive 90-minutes ride through forward-thinking prog. Featuring tracks from Maze28, Amháin & EMPHI and Dowden & Mazayr, this is a hypnotic drift worth surrendering to.

His cultured sounds often climb high in Beatport charts and he now plays all over the world.   MaBeToNi is a serenely deep and dubby cut with twinkling piano keys ringing out into the night, then Mwanzo rides a stuttering broken beat. A gorgeous vocal soars up top next to the subtle percussion and smoky spoken words help cast a spell.
