The One In The Woods Competition Mix

Rony Rex has seen international acclaim with the Finnish DJ getting plays on BBC Radio 1 and a Billboard Dance chart slot in 2019. With other songs featured on Love Island, Nickelodeon and being the soundtrack to Stella McCartney's catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, Rony Rex's name acts as a stamp of quality.

Joshua James has been involved in the house scene as a DJ for years playing the best in deep -minimal -tech. With a reputation that is growing with each and every set he is a force to be reckoned with. Joshua is from North London and with a real drive and dedication to electronic music, he has done events at Pacha London, Warehouse London, LMG warehouse Birmingham, Ibiza beach parties and XOYO.

This remix is a teasing, immersive club anthem that builds you slowly into one of deepest, grooviest drops. With weird and intimidating squeaks edging through the mix, the hook sneaks up on you out of nowhere and you instantly recognise that Rony Rex intelligence from the original, except this type with hyping, pumping bass behind and it and gliding risers. All of this coupled with a sharp and brutal beat comes together in a trance like dance tune which is going to get anyone moving. As the songs builds and builds, the sequenced layers slip in beautifully between the bass as it glides between tones, feeding you energy and making sure you listen on repeat.

With an almost terrifying amalgamation of sound at the end, you are hit with intensity and purpose in this song  and it is one for everyone's playlists.

Christian Smith stands out as one of the worlds leading exponents of inventive, diverse techno and Stranger Than Paradise continues his enthralling, ever-evolving musical journey with aplomb. The fact that Tronic is one of the Top 5 selling techno labels in the world is a mark of a man who stands for nothing less than pure quality. 
Having previously released benchmark, critically acclaimed LPs Omakase (2013) and Directors Cut (2010) Christian Smith is no stranger to creating supreme, danceoor orientated albums, that explore and showcase his diverse musical style. Both as a DJ and producer, he is always innovative and bold, a leader not a follower. 
Alongside the jaw-dropping excellence of the solo tracks, this new album also features dynamic, inventive collaborations with Wehbba (Christians great friend and regular collaborator), the New York based house music legend Cevin Fisher, long-time studio collaborator John Selway (of Smith &amp; Selway fame), and Christians childhood friend and hip-hop artist Arcturus Ra. 
The Stranger Than Paradise album project will be unveiled rst as four singles released at weekly intervals through the month of October, with the full album release following in the rst week of November on 12 vinyl and digital formats. An album remix pack will be released in December.

As we continue Soma’s 25 year anniversary, it’s only fitting label heads Slam receive the remix treatment next. The duo have selected 4 of their favourite acts who have given some Slam classics the modern day rework. 

Polegroup’s Oscar Mulero, a true veteran of the techno scene, turns in a suitably whipping remix of the monstrous Stepback. Creating a percussive storm, abating only to unleash those well known vocals. French maestro Antigone turns his hands to Slam’s career defining Positive Education, delving into more funk based territory whilst retaining his unique production style. Eterna, taken from SOMA001 back in 1991 is up next receiving two very individual reworks. Firstly, a drum jack from Inland utilises the originals beautiful pads to great effect and Soma artist Petrichor delivers a more organic, deep affair.
